Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days
Dragging this back to the top. Did you use the zinc phosphate on the brake lines as well. I want to touch a few things up before putting my truck back together. I need to paint the fuel and brake lines on mine and also get some under hood paint. Is Eastwood only a direct dealer or can you buy their stuff through a distributor.
|
Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days
There are two different zinc paints. One is a charcoal type color which is the regular zinc phosphate and then there is the clear zinc which is a blue/gray type finish.

Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days
As long as its back up for discussion, I'd like to know how the alternator was done. Replaced or painted?
|
Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days
I think I am going to buy a can of the silver cad, clear zinc, and the under hood black. Maybe just get the zinc phosphate just to see the difference. I need to get my fuel and brake lines painted so I can get the frame put back together.

Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days
I used the Eastwood satin clear on the brake lines.
