Re: Project Ol' Blue

my converter along with all the other smog crap is going bye bye. of course i have a 24 year old truck, next year its an antique plus i live in a county where we dont have emissions control so im cherry on that part! if my check engine light stays on i will just take the bulb out.

Re: Project Ol' Blue

I don't think emissions is a problem here either its just one time i took it off and tried to start it and it wouldn't start until I put it back on, the check engine light has been on for over 7 years lol it doesn't bother me anymore haha

i like the idea of the small window conversion.run the exhaust thru the frame just box it and put a piece of pipe a little larger than the tubing you are going to use.as far as the check engine light goes just have the computer re flashed to delete it

Got home from work and got the rear cross member fabricated with a pass through for the wiring harness and got it installed. the storms are coming on strong so i still have one weld to finish on it. I also got some 2 inch square tubing, 1/8 thick to put another cross member around the rear end area to stiffen the frame there. The 4x3 would not work because of clearance issues with the rear end. Next on the list is to get the rear end out, flip the brackets, cut the spring hangars down and get it back in so I can get the middle cross member fabricated and installed. Then the frame and suspension will be done for now. Still gotta get me some shorty shocks though.

Sounds good oh and if you do decide to do a wood bed I would do some wood interior pieces also, I like the idea of the wood bed and also of your back glass. Keep the ideas coming haha

You should do a mix of both windows, and It would depend if you want rust or rot haha you could do hard wood flooring That might not look bad I could do a rendering for your truck to on that program haha see how everything will work.

that would be cool thanks! if the program has cobalt blue do it in that one with nascar style exhaust coming out before the tires.

I would be careful of that sharp edge. Maybe put some weatherstrip around it? I just don't want the wires to chafe or anything.
