Yeah I don’t always get updates on here on a regular basis. I basically went to the shop and gave them a piece of the truck that I kept for matching the paint. I call it close enough.

Installed the headlights and taillights and found when installing the taillights that the housing hits the bumper bracket that I modified so I made new ones.

Just read your build and it looks awesome. I'm wanting the same colors too. Classic green on outside and I've been trying to figure out what brown I want on inside. Got some carpet and headliner samples in and looking forward to getting interior done. What shade of brown is that?

Re: 4x4 48'

Well it’s been a while since I posted anything. I spent the winter months figuring wiring out on the truck and troubleshooting the fuel pump wiring. I fear the relay that came with the harness is bad or I didn’t wire it right. I got my doubts I wired it wrong as there are only 3 wires to connect. The one thing I can show off is the the steering wheel as I put the cap on now that I verified the horn works! I’m hoping this next week I get the pump sorted and see how the engine runs. Then onto the brakes.

hi is your head liner out of a newer chevy truck?????looks good

trucktech 04-29-2019 10:21 AM

Re: 4x4 48'

No, I put some notes earlier on how I made it. Basically used the roof to make the liner. It worked pretty good. If you’re not looking to do custom work like I did I would recommend just buying a one piece from a reseller. Much faster and easier

Well she runs if it were only for a minute. Now I need to get the gauges installed so I can check oil pressure so I’m my wondering if my motor is going to lock up on me.

The clusters are installed with the switches that control them. That’s the last of the items to be installed on the dash.

Re: 4x4 48'

I’m doing just what you see. Speedo, tach, water, oil, battery, fuel.
