Re: 60-66's in the movies
Well maybe we thought we saw them all but, I was watching Black Sheep with Chris Farley and there was a scene with him partying with some kids in the back of a suburban (carryall) with no suspension and the roof cut off, wish I knew how to get a pic of it.

Re: 60-66's in the movies
There's a pretty bad ass stepside in Proof of Life with Russell crowe that has the exhaust pipes running vertically up the back of the cab like semi trucks do. Its in a scene near the begging right when Crowes character is getting kidnapped.

Me Gibson's "Man without a Face" had a great looking GMC Suburban (65 or 66) In the trailer above, it's got a quick hood shot at minute 1:56. It was shown several times in full view but I can't find any stills of it on the web. I'm sure tha "bridges of MAdison County was mentioned for the green 60 GMC longbed that was Eastwood's ride. If you have stomach the movie, there are a lot of great truck scenes in that flick. Worth watching. Funny thing about Clint's GMC, it has a double hump Chevrolet dash in the close-up interior shots-not the single hump GMC dash. But all you aficionados already knew that, right?:uhmk: |
Re: 60-66's in the movies

Re: 60-66's in the movies
I watched "Robocop" last week and noticed one of the bad guys blows up a stepside when they are messing around with the big rifles.
"The Family Guy" did a parody scene of "Bridges of Madison County" and they even had the truck in it. |
Re: 60-66's in the movies
just watched back to the future. after doc brown wakes up from being shot by the Libyan nationals he stole the plutonium from he takes marty home, and there is a baby blue 4-5-6 suburban right across the street from marty's house. there are several shots of the left side & rear, it is a barn door truck, nice & straight. doc should have used it instead of that delorian to build his time machine, although if the sub had a straight six it might need a few more feet to get up to 88 mph.
