Re: 1973 Cheyenne Super 10

Thanks guys! Next (for this truck) I would like to shoot the temporary paint job(satin white with a green roof). I ordered a HVLP paint sprayer from Harbor Freight, but it hasn't come in yet. As soon as I get it, I'm going to try it myself. I also have to replace the carrier bearing on the two-piece driveshaft, or replace it with a one piece....soon.

Meanwhile, I have to get back on my woman's '65 and work the bugs out and get it running right so she can start driving it... Project juggling...

Sounds like a cool color combo, and one not seen much on the late 70's trucks. Can't wait to see it.

You know what I meant. I didn't want to get it confused with the 70-72 trucks.

Here in Santa Fe, mid to high 80's, 60's overnight...

It's monsoon season so it's I little humid, but the rain every evening (almost) cools it down nice.

OK then it's a lot nicer than it is here. Mid 90's to 100's and HUMID!!!!! We wish it would rain each night just so it wouldn't be so darn dry!

Re: 1973 Cheyenne Super 10

Well, sticking to my 'junkyard' budget, I went to the local yard to upgrade my sound system. My cassette deck wasn't working so I tried my luck on a decent looking Clarion I found at the yard. It was in a pretty clean conversion van in nice shape. Pulled out the deck, paid $5 for it, took it home and installed it....tape doesn't work...Oh well. The FM cranks! I also scored some Kenwood 6x9's not too long ago and some boxes at another swap meet. Hooked those up too. At least now I can here the stereo as I'm going down the road. I have a WTB ad in the for sale section for a shaft style stereo. I still would like to have a functioning tape player. Anyone?
