For whatever reason I didn't see this post & when I watched the show this morning when you uddered those words my mouth hit the floor. You & your talent is the only reason I watched the show. We can only hope your replacement is just as good & as talented.

It's great to know we'll still be able to watch some of your work here on the site & as always it's top notch..joe

Holy crap its Lou sweet huge fan of the show (specifically your work). Sad to see you go. I really enjoyed that show. I don't know, how it will be the same. Seems like almost everyone is leaving the Powerblock. Only Joe and Ian will be around that is nuts the rest of the guys that started all of those shows will be gone. Your stuff was one of the main reasons I watched. I don't know If I will watch after Jessi leaves.

I planned on posting these the other day but I spaced it in the last couple of pictures. I made that tool from some pointers form toe in toe out gauge and a piece of conduit. To measure the wheel base by myself. I plan on installing the engine in the morning.

As always Lou you do GREAT work....

One question for ya though...
Whatsa going to do w/that 67-70 long wheel base Chevy Van in the back ground of pic #2???

I love those old Vans, I had a 69 window van like the one in the pic that was lowered a little w/a BBC/400turbo, Nova rearend running 8's in the front & 10's inside the rear wheelwells. That damn thing was funnn to drive....joe

WOW, missed this thread. Welcome Lou. Nice to have another squarebody guy here! Gonna miss you on Musclecar, you made the show.

What about the 82 Burb I heard you talking about doing something with?

Tony, his pinion angle is fine, it the frame jig that needs leveling, just needs to mount in on the wall.... :D

5 or 6 u joints and the pinion angle won't be a problem maybe a couple steady bearings too. Just don't stand on it when you leave the lights.

wow that Lemans is bad @$$. To bad you could not be there to pay it off. I saw a 66 Lemans 2 weeks ago and knew what year it was because of that car. Best of luck in your ventures. That truck is gonna be bad @$$ as well.

Re: For your viewing pleasure

Lou, I love the LeMans. Of course, it probably has something to do with the fact that I grew up with a 67 GTO under the carport. Your frame is looking good as well.

Lou, What is up with the hood line on the Lemans? Is it bowed up at the front or is that just the angle. SWEET ride though! Loved the work you did on it...

Congrats on moving onto bigger and better things Lou. Life's too short to waste time. What's going between the rails? Something sweet no doubt. The frame looks really nice, you have some amazing metalworking skills.
On a side note, it seems like your personailty would mesh really well with that of Stacey David's, ever think about making an apperance on his show?

shifty 02-21-2008 11:22 PM

Re: For your viewing pleasure

Stacey David...laidback stoner hippie
Lou Santiago...lunatic ex-military rocker

Sounds like oil and vinegar?
