Thank you for the link and advise. The book looks interesting. The link to the different forms is great as well.

Didnt see this thread til after I posted my thread on the missing spid on my 66k10 burb.
http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=753214 I have a question on a couple things. First I do not see A/C as an option on the K10 options list and a few people have told me it was not available on K series prior to 67. Mine definitely has factory A/C. Were other options available for 2WD also available for 4WD? I find it strange that a posi rear was available for 2wd but not for 4wd. I also saw that tow hooks are not available for 2wd trucks with chrome bumper, were frame horns different for K trucks compared to C? Do any 66 spids list wheel and tire options like later spids? Also reading through the whole thread it looks like many images were lost. Is there any way 60-66 could fix his pics? |

Hey Guys Need some help this is what I have so far: 1966 C10 SPID still on the glovebox lid but badly faded. Vin: C2546AXXXXXX Paint: 500AA Left side of Label: HD Clutch ? (Not sure most of clutch is missing) No Option No visible Painted Rear Bumper , No Option Number visible Ampere, Oil Gauge , No option number visible Right side of Label: Heavy Rear Spring G50BA ( Barely visible ) Thrift Air Heater C41AM ( Barely Visible ) I lifted the thrift heater number from this thread can anyone confirm the option numbers for the first 3 items ? For HD clutch I get M01AA ? Painted RR bumper I cannot find anything ? For Amp, oil gauge I get Z53AB or BC ? What controls the last two letters of each option code ? Thanks Nitro |

See attached, a wealth of information. Check on page 8. The last 2 letters are ECL codes (Exception control letters). They change based on the family of options the car or truck has.

https://www.gm.com/content/dam/compa...olet-Truck.pdf I know this thread started quite a while ago, did we ever come to a hive mind consensus for the ECL codes? I have one that says Z62AA, curious what the AA means. |
