Looking great! If you go to harbor freight and purchase one of their spot blasters, that could get you by for these little pitted areas.

Thanks for the heads-up, Ryan. Actaully, sleepertruck72 (Jorge) has been so kind and generous as to lend me his sandblaster. Now, I'm just waiting for a non-rainy day. Then it'll be raining sand! Thanks again, Jorge!

Good luck with the weather cooperating, and enjoy the blasting.

You are correct. I need to get busy working on it. I'm going broke buying parts ;) But did manage to complete my black NOS shoulder and lap seat belt set if that counts for anything. BTW, what color interior are you going with on your build?

That'll be sweet. There's a White 4X4 1970 on eBay with a red/white combo.

Nice job on the truck, you don't see too many of these restored! I'm restoring a 1972 BB short bed, click on my name & check out my photos. Is it done yet? Like to see more pics. Good luck with it.

Thanks! No, it definately is not done yet. Finding time has been nearly impossible for me lately. The truck is stored at my parents until I paint it. Then, I'll bring it to my house. That's when I'll be able to get to it whenever I have an extra hour or two.

I did get a little work done on the driver side bucket seat mounts. I made some underside supports for the bolts. I cut apart a window channel and welded on some 1/2" fender u-bolts. Then, I welded them to the bottom of the cab. Much more sturdy than a large bolt/washer combo.

Nice job, you can do almost anything with a mig welder, I love mine!
