Hey be careful with that blower on that stroker motor. It has high compression. I just dont want to see you with a new motor with bent rods.

So true. I was scared in the past to pull it down to the frame because i was worried what i may finds. So far nothing to bad but im starting to think I will never drive it again. HAHA... just saying the list of things to complete is getting longer & longer. I bet you know what im saying.... Later |

Hey guys, I hope you all had Monday off to spend with your families or trucks. THANKS TO ALL THE VETS. I got some work on the crossmember done. This mod is a lot of work. Had to cut it with a grinder and cutting wheel. 7 cutting wheels!! But its done and going back together great. I also scored a new trany from a friend an 4l80e.

Here are a couple of pictures of the progress that was made this weekend. I finished the crossmember and install it in its new location 1.5'' forward. Had to remove the upper a-arm mounts because they will only get moved forward 1'' and in .25'' due to the narrowing of the frame. Had to add 1.5'' to the frame to fit the upper a-arm mount and when redrill all the holes plus weld all the old holes up. Now to do the right hand side!!

Summer is over and it is cooling down outside. Time to do work! I have been doing a little work here and there but not muck. I did order some cool new parts!! A No-limit rack kit & e-Level system. They should both be delivered soon!
On the frame I added some gussets and wielded all the cross members. Next I stared building some tubular trailing arms. The arms are close to done. Im working on a way the mount the rear shocks. I want to mount the shocks on the out-side of the frame on the rear of the trailing arms. Here are a couple pictures. what you think? |
