Looks like I will be heading through your neck of the woods 8/7 late afternoon (ish). Hopefully I can catch up with you then! If not, we can try on the return trip.

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4
possibly going to shoot the body with the rustoleum paint in the gallon they have a little darker blue then in the raddle can and black
|
Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4
Just a couple of tips. Get some enamel hardener and add it to the rustoleum, that will make much better paint out of it. Also I strongly suggest using rustoleum red primer first then scuff it and spray the black, if not it will start to flake within a couple of years.
Anyway it looks great, I love those year trucks! |
Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4
The grill picture should work. Can you e-mail it to me? Then it wont be resized which will make it a little cleaner, and easier to work with.
Is it going to be roadworthy on the 7th? |
Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4
yeah it should be good enough for a spin

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4
I wouldn't worry about it in the primer, just the paint. If anything it would probably make it thicker, you'll need to reduce it with acetone in order to spray.

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4
Made a few decisions today about what to buy for the truck this pay check. I decided that i want to get her on the road soon as possible so im going to work on the lights first relays on front lights local ground on rear tail lights. Adding a few lights as well will also be ran off a relay then a full brake job. and continue working inside painting finish painting grill and front bumper front wheels are almost done also want to do front axle. As for the body i will wet sand it down to the blue there will be primer and teal in spots then get her licensed and insured for winter i hope?
