Re: "its all about ol' black"

The Maximizer has been in for a little while now and is virtually unnoticeable with hubs locked all the time and not powered.
When being powered the front is very easy to steer and seems to be sure footed without the strain of constantly darting back and fourth on snow covered roads like the Locker would exhibit. When getting wood out of bush and such its turns very easy at slow speeds without unlocking rear drive or front drive to turn sharp.
My thumbs up for this very streetable and affordable differential. I will keep you posted on longevity.

44th Miss Inf- no problem , thats why I post this stuff to help other people .
Ol' Black was down the past couple of weeks had to order new rebuilt tbi engine from ATK as the high mile one in it was starting to make some noise down low.
Back up and running again love my differentials and no issues.
Also the motor has a 3 year warranty!

OL' Black gets some updates-
Got some union pacific sequential LED taillights to replace the badly sun faded ones, straight bolt on and plug in... very nice!
Decided to get the LMC 81-87 door panels I have always wanted. I just had to change the inside handle from the 77-80 and winder.

While I was ordering door panels I got a new bench seat cover (Vinyl) because I am always spilling coffee LOL!

Already swapped to an 81-87 seat some time ago.

The foam was pretty good shape so it was reused , but I added a 3" memory foam mattress pad to the bottom seat between the springs and the foam for a comfort boost.

The cover came with hog rings and pliers (bonus)

To tighten the springs up in the seat suspension I bent up the tabs added zip ties under to make thicker then bent them back down.
Quick paint then put the 'socks on the rooster'
I think it turned out alright .

Well my r/s led tail light got moisture in it and was acting up after 1 year so I emailed United Pacific and they instructed me to go through my ebay seller where I bought it from and no surprise they are not on ebay anymore.
So I shelled out another $150 CND for a replacement from somewhere else which wont happen again!

So much for so called epoxy sealed.

Got some H4 headlights from amazon to replace my candles in glass lol. I think it ads a cool look also.

They fit in but the rubber boot around the terminals is too big to fit in the headlight bucket without modifying the bucket so I chose to leave them off, also I cut thick O-rings in half and installed them between the headlight and hold down ring at the three attaching screws because they are a slightly smaller diameter.

They are Brighter but I am going to add relays for full improvement soon .

A couple of updates -
I got a new back window graphic , I think it suits OL' Black well!

Some parts from LMc A relay harness and printed circuit . The printed circuit is a good quality and straight forward swap. Also added the 5 backlit LED bulbs to my cluster, Brighter!

The relay harness was only long enough to run in the position I installed and the eyelets on the ground wires were too small for the factory ground bolts other than that all plug and play .

Now , just to stay up late enough to see how bright my headlights actually are...

No problem with the color or finish but acquired a small crack on top of panel about middle of window my other panels from them77-80 cracked in same spot
. These panels seem and feel like cheap crap , but I love the look (style) of them.
