So I guess you'll be passing through SF? My schedule will be random the next few weeks as far as being in the city, but feel free to contact me if you need advice etc. while (or if) jumping around the city and I'll do my best to help. And no, there is not a rental car agency that rents 67-72's!

Hah hah... that SW VA/NW TN/SE KY region can keep you wonder where yurat! I always thought of Bristol as the end of VA since that's what the interstate will have you thinking...and only VA to TN. I went down to Bills Bowties once, stayed at hotel in Bristol thinking I'd pop in on him in the morning. Heck, the rod took me back up into VA and he was another couple hours west, yet! Beautiful country. I guess out there is known as the Cumberland Gap region. He was closer to KY than TN.

I guess if you are headed across TN you're south of that area. But the hwy was US58. Oh wait, you're headed up to Mammoth Cave & Bowling Green now? Might work for you. Tell you what, how about you don't listen to my suggestions and just go any ole way you want...lol

I hope you aren't starting to feel
WOW, there is some seriously nice iron here... and I've seen more exotic cars in the last two days than my entire 35 yars combined.

I hope you haven't started to feel nauseous having to drive a ford😀😀

Keep on highway 1 or 101. Lots of beauty along there

About 8 years ago we rode our bicycles from Vancouver B.C. To Ensenada Mexico. Being a bit older now thank god we have an engine doing the work this time. There is a site kind of like ours"Crazyguyonabike" that posts up blogs about there trips

If you get a chance, stop buy my hometown,Sonoma. It is a beautiful place to visit

Keep your eyes open along the way as you can see there are plenty of these trucks around still

Here is a pic of us at an overlook in the Smokies

Just trying to wake up. And get a move on, now

It's been a few full days and we still aren't to far from where we started whenever I look at the map

Yesterday's drive was pretty hot. Look what these cows were resorting to

We drove for miles in stopped traffic. The truck purred like a kitten. Didn't even think about overheating. Oh yea👍👍

I talked about doing this trip using only the map. No gps! Once we started though, you just automatically use it. It's hard to imagine. How it used to be without it.

It was a much simpler time when all these guys were cruising

I never thought of that. Maybe we will

Checkthese out. I'm not sure if they are original or not. I've never seen a bumper guard or step bumper (or whatever they might be called)
It looks like they have been on it for the life of the truck

Anyone out there have any idea?

If you stop at mammoth cave go into the town of Cave City. Highway 31 goes through the town and use to be a major highway for travel. There are several old motels on the north side of town that have been kept up very well. Also there is a TeePee motel there just like on route 66.

If you are planning on hitting Mammoth Cave today, you might log on and buy your tickets in advance. On weekends in the summer they tend to sell out of a lot of the tours. Made that mistake the first time we tried to go when my Mom was out visiting from Oregon!

Sub'd. Cool trip, you're near my old stomping grounds (Louisville, properly pronounced "Luhlvuhl").

Looks like you're mostly doing this already, but my advice is to stay off the interstates and check out America from the back roads. If you need anything near little Durango, Colorado, let me know.

I've always wanted to do a bike tour down Hwy 1. Mostly tour around Colorado, on trails at that. Very familiar with Crazyguyonabike. Funny how interests intersect around here, it's a small world.

Have fun out there!

I remember a thread about those. It was a couple of years ago. It was discussion about whether they were factory or after market. I don't think there was a definite conclusion. Either way they are cool and I would like to find a pair.

I noticed those too the first picture I saw of the truck. I like them!

Just killin time. Brad is driving

I was trying to post video yesterday because a guy named Jon Pardi was in concert yesterday before the game
He is from Davis Ca. 1/2hr from our home town.

That must have put us in the mood for a country playlist today
Had to start with:
Chris Stapleton-Traveler

Which bumped us over to:
The SteelDrivers

And are mellowing out to:
Maren Morris-My Church

Got about an hour or two to Bowling Green

She's tickin along like a clock

Keeping it around 55-60 mph. No hurry here🐌

Have you checked your gas mileage yet? I'd be interested to know.

Not yet. Been to busy fussing around with everything else

Here the cockpit

The thing on the dash is a solar power pack
It will charge your cell phone faster that 110 or 12v

My babe bought it for me. I threw it in my back pack on the way out the door when we left California. It's way cool you can take it on backpacking trips etc. it also will charge the EU ROLL speaker

When the Internet came about it made it so much easier to find vehicles anywhere in the country.

Funny I bought this 4x4 suburban out of West Viginia

Had it shipped to our winter home in Arizona

The only dark copper truck I have ever owned
