Cool truck, and a great story (for you at least). Knowing the prior owner was attached to the truck, ...would be neat (even if it's you doing it) for him to see it redone.
Congrats! |

Re: ‘Herding Turds’ - Post em up when you dragged them in
This is an awesome thread. Hopefully in the next few days I can contribute a picture. Mounted front tires on mine in storage today going to mount rear tomorrow and maybe this weekend put it on the trailer to bring home. I cant say it would be pucs of when we originally brought it home as it was my great grandfather who bought it new and it was passed down to my father then me.

Here's mine. I bought it as a cab and frame for $200. I thought " oh, I'll just put some rockers and cab corners in it and drop an engine in there, no problem"
Ha ha, 7 years later it's getting closer |

Find of a lifetime. 1970 K10 SWB. It was a mess, but only 36K original miles and stored inside for all of its life in upstate NY. Minimal rust issues. Brought it home a few years ago where I also store and work on it inside. Am making slow but steady progress on it.

The 72 short box I bought. It's a tough truck that took a huge hit, but it's all above the frame. Last on the road in North Carolina in 1992.I've got most of the parts except the box which I'll just buy new.250 six with the three speed which fired right up after I cleaned the points . It's next in line after I paint my wife's Mont Carlo.

Other turd popped out of the sewer onto the trailer:lol: Couple weird things about this truck. It had a saddle dash pad but was built with a tilt column and bullseye reverse lenses. Maybe it's a St. Louis thing.
Its missing the big block(350 in its place), doors, tilt and misc parts. Had a this holiday weekend to resurrect this turd from the dead. The posi works!!! Ahh, the parts hunt and addiction continues:metal: |

Got this 69 C/10 from these ladies front yard. When I started tearing it down, it had original EVERYTHING. Fuel pump, hoses, etc. Turns out when I found the 2 build sheets, it was sold just about 15 miles away at Blade Chevrolet in Mt. Vernon, Wa.

Picture of my 72 K1500 in the original owners driveway and the 2 lounge chair cushions he threw in to make sleeping in the bed a little more comfortable.
Hopped right in and after a couple hours of blowing out old carbon, she treated me quite nicely all the way back to Texas. |

Here are both of mine. The C20 came from a Nebraska salvage yard and the K10 (bought in June) came from Colorado Springs.
