got the heads, oil pump, oil pan, balancer on today the front small head bolt on the green head:lol: the threads messed up when i went to torque it down so we will sort that out but i still gotta clean up the intake and stuff

that is my first car a 1975 nova not a ss though i put that in the grill to take the place of the bowtie when i painted the grill

got the head bolt problem fixed with a heli-coil, and got the intake painted no pic of it painted it with alum. color paint and got the motor painted :chevy:

block looks good!

Why not left the freeze plugs brass color'd to break it up? What valve covers ya gonna run? And ya ought to swap the painted bolts for stainless at your fastner store (ALOT CHEAPER THAN A KIT, I bought the kit..lol)

yea, it's gonna have the brakcets and pulleys be black and something alittle different on the valve covers she picks out we will see......

after some long 11 hour work days (at work) not on the truck i have still managed to do alittle;) wire wheeled the exaust manifolds and sprayed them with black high temp paint suppost to be good to 1200 degrees we will see i think it will look good against the green. Also worked on the wireing harness

Looking very good. The black will work well with the scheme...I thought of doing my entire exhaust system in that 1200 degree paint in either black or the aluminum that looks like ceramic coating

i have some exaust paint that came with a exaust detailing kit from eastwood i have yet to try it's a type of gray color

painted the top part of the trans just for the heck of it lol, and the wife and i got here some plain chrome valve covers and a chrome breather to try something with.....

well finally got it in had a extremly hard time with the motor mount bolt, dad got home a ground a point on it and hooked it up to an air rachet and wham-o
it was in :lol: i almost forgot the flexplate too

did some more engine work today installed intake, dizzy, rockers, fuel pump and lower pulley and bolted the exaust manifolds up. Then just decided to go for an afternoon cruise in the ol car...... (cell phone pix)

whats the car hub?

that green looks awesome man! i cant wait to see it done! 67 is gonna be cruisin with your truck and our 53 hopefully!! Stay warm buddy! If you come this way ive still got that trim for your 71

yea here ya go my dad bought it for me a 15 and i still haven't paid him back all the 1,300 ha so he is still part owner:lol: how it was back then and at the cruise in this year i had it painted in 04-05 i think

well the wife got the radiator bought, and i have been cleaning and painting the starter gonna try and just about button the motor up this saturday i hope
