Always hoping to see more though hahaha.

Down island until the 4th. Looking to get some more done on the floor pan, rockers and floor support. Started on the floor here is where I'm at. All the bulbs in the shop were out when I got down, will have to pick up some tubes tomorrow.

Anthony...Great progress on the truck, did you determine if it is a 62, wider frame in the back? I found that a 93 caprice wagon poly fuel tank fits close to the frame rails of my 62, made some new cross braces and hung with 93 OEM straps. May not be what you need for diesel...Ed

Thanks Ed! It is a 63 with 34" wide frame rails. The rear bumper and sil plate are from a 62, had to make some adjustments to make them fit.... They are on there now hahaha. I am hoping to fit the polymer fuel tank out of the dodge in between the frame rails in front of the rear diff and behind the transfer case. Will have to see how it works out. I will keep the caprice tank idea in reserve, thank you!

Passengers side floor, rocker and floor support are checked off the list :metal:

Moving on to the drivers side. It is in much better shape, have to repair the hinge adjuster plate and the bracket that holds it in place. Soo many rats nests in the A pillar and rocker!!!

It's surprising how much driver and passenger sides can differ, mine was like that as well. The passenger was twice as worse as the drivers. When you are done all the rust repair you'll be glad you got it over with. Keep up the good work

Thanks for the encouragement! To bad about the suburban being scraped, probably would have liked to cut some body parts off for the panel .

More progress on the drivers side rocker. This side had more material to work with and is turning out better then the passengers side.

Nice work on the inner rocker:metal:. Well the burb might actually still be alive. He dropped it off at a yard (don't know what yard) and it might not be crushed for a while. I messaged him to ask if it's still around, if it is I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks that would be awesome! If it's in the Comox Valley I can stop there on my way back to McNeill.

I am looking to take the dodge off the road the next stretch of time off I get. I can't wait to get the Cummins between the frame rails :burnout:

Time for a cold one!

Here is the passengers side barn door, thanks Perro13!

I got the rusty bottom patched and the whole door wire wheeled and painted. Bondo free!!!!

I had to rebuild the latch I picked up off that 62 Suburban in Princton as well as modify the new lock/ push rod to match the length of the original. The latch push rod is shorter and I could not find and repos for the panel/ Suburbans out there. All works like a dream now.

I Will be dropping the door off at a glass place this time.... Cracked the pane for the drivers side. Need some fresh rubber anyways. Hahaha. Luckily I got a spare pane from the new door.

I have the highs all ready to go and some new hinge seals to go with them.

I will be working down island next week so I will have some time in the evenings to get the door mounted, mess around with the drivers side door spacing and the door seals.

Thanks for tuning in!

Working down island this week so I got a chance to bring the barn door down with me. I got some "smoke" tinted glass cut for both doors and the seals were salvageable! With a little adjustment I got them working pretty good! Still need to fab up some rubber door stops for the passengers side.

I also have a set of the OEM rear seals coming. Just about got the rear end all wrapped up.

Not too much, been busy getting wedding invites together and in the mail and knocking out the tax return.

Finally got the passengers side fender all smoothed out and got some POR on her, jeeze stuff rusts fast here hahaha. Got some time this weekend so hopefully I can get the fender all finished up.

Hey Nik,

Thanks for checking in hahaha.

I got the passengers side fender all back together, not super happy with how it turned out, but it's on... Will have to address it later. Went to the junk yard in Port Hardy and picked up a bunch of window seals and started to fit them around the door glass. I got the passengers side seals all done up, I think I looks good and should keep the water and wind out a bit better then the felts.

Good to hear the door rubber worked out well for you. I hear lots of complaints on the repop seals

Do you have any more details on the window seals you used. Close up pictures? What they are out of?

Thanks! It was a bit of a fight but the weather strip adhesive really pulled it together.

I will have to get some better close up pics for you next time I'm down to work on the truck. As for the seals, I know some may not want to hear this.... Hahaha they are out of a 2009 Ford. The ripper seamed to fit the window glide profile and had fresh rubber and the inside was felted. I'm not to picky as long as it works. The bottoms are out of a 2000's Chevy van. They have all been modified to fit. It's not perfect, but it actually turned out pretty good hahaha
