Pic 1. Here is a shot of the panel installed and the upper accent panel on.
Pic 2. A closer look at the fabric Pic 3. So after I installed the panels I took a step back and looked at the lower section and the decorative plate in place, I cant decide if I want those black or paint them the bronze. This way they will tie the upper and lower sections together. All the holes and the edges of these panels will be beveled. What do you guys think? Mark |
Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
Will you have any other bronze on the lower portion of the cab? If not, I would go black.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
Looks great Mark. I like the contrast that the textured material creates. Oh, I would go black on the bottom piece (less is more). I think that it would balance the look more. It looks like the same vinyl I used in my 48....

Now on to the kick panels.
Pic 1. This is nothing fancy just made the pieces fit snug. The tape represents the detail line to match the door. Pic 2. Here I used epoxy to hold the round bar in place. Pic 3. Then I applied the fibral and will slick it down. Pic 4. This was after sanding and primer. Was checking fit before covering. Mark |

Pic 1. This is a shot showing the magnets installed on the backside.
They will hold the panel snug to the cab. Pic 2. The kick panel all covered. Pic 3. All installed. I think they came out pretty nice considering it's my first interior I've done. Mark |
Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
I had never seen magnets used like that before until I watched a Youtuber this week take apart a new F-450 and Ford uses magnets to hold the headliner up. Well done.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
Thank you Kevin.
The magnets are an aid in holding it for the most part, I do have 1 screw at the very top that isn't seen. Mark |

Here a a few shots of the rear panel and the lower cover panels.
On the main panel.I added a detail line to match the doors. And then I wrapped all the lower panels to match as well so it all tied together. Mark |
