Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
The red one above from Texas was for sale in Washington about a year ago for $12,000 he must have bought it.
Everything is for sale at the right price. |

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I'd actually like to see a thread titled "How much these Blazers sold for", as apparently my Blazer isn't worth much near this much. Came to my senses and it's not for sale anymore, but still....

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
There worth as much as someone is Willing to Pay. I've had guys offer me five grand before and mines not in great shape. Some people just want them so bad that it Doesn't Matter the Price Or Work needed done. Our trucks are getting more expensive as they are gettin more scarce. Start a thread on this subject. People can start adding theirs to that too. Glad you didn't Sell. I sure You Are too. I don't ever see me getting Rid Of Mine. 15 years and hopefully God willing another 30 with my blazer.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I think they are getting more and more popular to have because they are getting rare. Even 4wd ones.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Is it too much to ask for a solid 2wd 350/350 with a good top and decent paint/interior for $12500? ;)

... depends, if I'm BUYIN' $12,500 is a LOT, if I'm SELLIN', $12,500's not nearly enough;) I like my '72 a lot but I'd trade it for the right '60's GM convertible car. |

Add in the cost of suspension, brakes, engine & trans repairs, etc. (if they are all fresh rebuilds) and the cost just goes up from there. From April (when I bought mine) to October, I'm betting that I more than doubled the cost of my Blazer just getting it ready for CTC, and I'm still not finished with it. You know as well as I do, things get expensive QUICK! |

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Is it sacrilege to just remove the front suspension from a 4x4 and replace it with stock A-Arm type suspension? Are the people looking for 2wd Blazers and Jimmy's only looking for original 2wd's? Doesn't look like it would be that hard to do.

consider that in 1972 they made 44,266 4x4's and only 3,357 4x2's, so converting a 4wd makes sense if you really want a 2wd. i personally would not pay a premium for a converted blazer but some might. credit source: http://outintheshop.com/prodnum.html |

Originally built by a board member, he sold it and then another board member just bought it. Sure wish I had and extra $30K laying around.
