we also extracted the steering wheel shaft from the upper part that runs to the steering wheel

then we sliced and diced the north pole, GM just calls this the Intermediate Shaft Coupler

and poked a hole in it to rosie weld it once it slipped on to the native Prius splines

Very jealous of your blasting progress. I spent half the day today trying to get my blasting cabinet to work without any real success. You mind if I ask what media you are using, the pressure you are running the cabinet at and what nozzle tip you are using? This stuff is like black magic to me.

sorry guys and gals it was literally 106°F today and 200° in the Good Enuff Garage so as much as I wanted to shoot a video I'm sure the camera would not have worked in the sauna

Ha, just got back in town and went through the steering column build. I had those same "doodads" when I built mine. Also, that bracket you built looks a lot like the ones I 'found' for my front bumper to mount to the S10 frame.

Getting close, can you feel it yet?
