Re: '66 Sunbeam Minx Project - F20C/6sp/4-link/Discs...
Incredible build I love the fab work. Also sweet SB project for your son. I cut my car teeth on VW's and mostly typeIIIs. I miss my old 65 sunroof Notch to this day. There was one on the local CL a few months ago. I had to force myself not to go look at it.

Re: wiring-
I have a nice Fluke DMM. I'll follow the same protocol we use when powering up machines running 208vac and 480vac. Pre-power up: Check resistance to ground for each individual circuit at a time by closing CB's (or installing fuses). Same when powering up; one circuit at a time. An early notch is on my dream car list. Sunroof would just be icing... I have a saved search for them on a CL app. Have to resist every time they come up! Also have a folder full of T3 pics and surf the Samba regularly. :metal: |

 guys
Work has been insanely busy, and the rare days off are mostly booked by the family (no complaints). The work I have done on the minx has been non-update-worthy (mostly wiring and reworking the trans xmember to clear the exhaustification. Thanks for checkin in! Posted via Mobile Device |

Hey, FF! Found a new challenge for ya. Looks like a 1956-58 MG Magnette ZB:

I was thinking the same thing, and wondering how many of these cars are in the U.S. Not sure I've ever seen one here.

Re: '66 Sunbeam Minx Project - F20C/6sp/4-link/Discs...
i live in europe and never seen one like it ,
it lookes like a stretched 4 door morris minor as for windows the english aspesially austin and british leyland are known for using the same parts on different cars , if it isnt and exaxt fit you can get it as close to the curvature you need if youre good in sheetmetal , i suspect the first thing anyone would try when customizing it is to do a top chop , it has a classic led sled look to it |

Yeh, but enough is enough. Time is more valuable than money! ...ok a balance is ideal. Right now the pendulum is way off center, but it's about the make a correction :) No complaints though. I wouldn't prefer the alternative...

Hey, where's the detailed report?
Have you ever seen the British show "Wreck Rescue" with Mark Evans? A friend turned me onto this series with an MGB roadster project. This one is about a young lady who turned a complete basket case 1959 "frog eye" Sprite into a concourse drool-all-over, with some help from her father, very impressive: The one piece of the original body that looked to be in one piece (bonnet) had to be replaced. The engine fired and ran great on the very first try. Sweet! |

Thanks Pops and Rob. I'm super stoked about it! I need to get the cooling goin and install the muffler clamps so I can get a better sound clip. I have a bunch of pics I'll post later.

It's always great to hear them go the first time. I had a similar problem the first time I was starting my jimmy up. No clutch, but the neutral safety switch was not plugged in. For some reason I thought it would be louder. It actually sounds pretty tame, should make an excellent sleeper.
