I'm not on steelies, but steelies are on my truck . Same old truck, different sets of wheels from 16.5 x 6.75 to 16.4 x 9.75 to 16 x 8

I like the look with the lumber rack...makes me feel at home. I guess I never realized (or noticed) that the wraparound rear bumpers lasted past the '66 body style. Looks great!

Not 16.5 campers? I thought CUCV were thinner.

Wow ~ what are the dimensions on those ? .

I cannot see ever buying one of those CUCV rigs even though they're dirt cheap anymore ~ too high operating co$t$ .

15 x 8 with 33-12.50s on them. I was going to go with slightly smaller tires but the tires on it were new when I bought the truck and still have the little nibs on them. A lot of money to replace!

15" CUCV Wheels

Understood ! .

I like 'em because they're stock yet allow the fitment of a wide variety of tires .

Man, I was going to compliment, once again, Demain5's truck, but scrolled down, saw the next and wanted to add his, then the next and the next, and that's when I decided to say, "There sure are some nice trucks in this thread. Just can't beat good old factory center steel wheels. Stock, wide, white, black, whatever!"

Thanks for the appreciation. You obviously knw trucks. That rack was the third set I made and most refined design. I originally made it in '89 for an '84 K30. I guess these years saw the last of the Bartens bumpers. The truck came from CA and was set up with a 5th wheel, hoist for the platter, to pull a big travel trailer. So, trans was built tough, big aux cooler, trans temp gauge, and he had a vacuum tuning gauge mounted to read while driving. A great idea. Amazing how you can let off and run the same speed to draw a greater air to fuel mix. This one's my keeper 3/4t 4wd.

Did I ever show the K/10 I restored in the mid-90s?

In you hunt around you'll find the most excellent " Motor Minder " intake manifold pressure gauge, mount, connect and USE it, you'll soon be squeezing more MPG's than you ever thought possible, out of your old truck be it 6 or 8 cylinders .

There are various brands, all the better ones have color ranges on the dials face to show you where's the sweet spot .
