Just been working on getting the bodywork done.
Pics would be kinda boring.
Apply filler, sand off filler, apply more filer and sand.
Getting pretty close to having it all pretty decent then I will post some pics.

haha, thats funny,
apply filler, sand filler off. sounds like me. apply a small dab of filler, sand off a small mountain of dust. seems like more comes off than what went on in the first place.
with your history I am sure it will look awesome. waiting on the pics.
will you be using a step on your custom box?

It seems the filler regenerates itself once it is dry and you start sanding it.
No step planned at this time but that may change.

Just finished reading your thread. Your truck is looking awesome! Also wanted to say thanks as you have inspired me to do a lot more sheet metal work than I thought I could.

Not so much lately.
Life keeps throwing other things at me that take precedence over the truck.
Hope to be back on it soon.

How’s the sanding been going? Not a step I’m looking forward to! I’ve been anticipating pictures.

I've got my truck about 85% of the way to being complete.
Need a few parts like the radiator, drive shaft and some of the glass.
Still have a little body work to finish before paint but am very happy with how it looks. Not going for a show winner, just a daily driver that looks nice.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to touch it for quite a while because life is just that way some times.
Hopefully I will be able to get back on it in the next couple of months and finally get it finished.

Kim!!!! You're alive and kicking, excellent.

I can totally relate on life getting in the way. I haven't driven my truck 50 miles since I took it out of the shop. Too many things to relate but the short version is we just moved after 20 years. Technically, I am no longer "Dan in Pasadena" I am now Dan in Glendora!

My truck is still at the old house locked in the garage but will be coming to the new house in a couple days. It'll get driven regularly here since it will no longer be behind a gate at the end of a 100 ft long single file driveway behind an RV I had to move every time I wanted to!

Let's see your girl, Kim!

Haha, too funny Dan from Glendora.
Kim, a small step forward is still a step in the right direction. Good to hear you're still plugging away. Post a pic every now and then would be good to see dust on somebody else's rig. Lol.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
Pics really wont show to much of a change at this time.
Weather is getting better so hopefully can make some real progress.

bondo, no matter who's you use is a magic product when using it sparingly. I'm sure your bodywork will look great.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

High build primer also works great for filling small imperfections before block sanding. I wet sand the high build but that's just me. My garage floor looks like a black mud bog.

I've been using Evercoat Z-grip.
It works just fine for me.

I like Slick Sand. Can get a nice even coat and sands just fine.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

I epoxied with grey so I high build with black so I can easily see when I break through. I am using proform high build and epoxy, works for me and I get a better deal on that than I would on slick sand because my parts supplier sells the proform line. it's always good to stick with the same line as you go through, for compatability of products.
