Looking good mike..

Thanks Kyle, man I could sure use your paint booth. Had a lil trouble with the Imron clear. Just too foggy on the clear coat to see effectively. Now I have some runners to take care of.

Thanks. I'm kinda relying on the weather now but I'm shooting for Late Dec. - January for assembly.

Thanks Mark. I'm going to focus on finishing up the bed assembly. Not too sure I can put it together solo without scratching or damaging something? Also have a few runs I have to sand out of the clear first. Maybe this week though.

BTDT on killing a nice panel. I managed to do it twice. Finished parts look great! Man, that's RED!

Thanks for the compliment. I wish I could say I've only done it twice.. I'm pretty sure I didn't wait long enough between clear coats.

Thanks. It is good to see some red paint. I was getting sick of sanding on these panels. It gets pretty old after a while.

Here ya go Rob, I hope this helps. Like I said, I have an older model Sure Fit unit but I'm going to make it work. The main reason I made the brackets the whole unit kinda sagged from the weight when I shifted it forward towards the firewall.

I made a new cover for my Vintage Air connection today. It's just raw machined now but it will be polished when finished. I used the original rubber grommets that came with it. I'm hoping the A/C hoses will mount up then I'll be able to put the bolts in from the inside. Just didn't care for the plastic cover and the fittings didn't hit quite right.

Mike, when I read your posts two words jump out at me - "I made"

There are so many things you put time and effort into that most people will never see, yet you keep on doing it. That's what separates you from the pack and why your project is so freaking cool. There's so much there.

Keep it going, can't wait to see more.

Thanks Steve. I really enjoy making stuff for this old project. It slows things down but it's kinda rewarding. I have a lot of ideas. Just trying to get this thing painted so I can move on to things more that are more fun.

Nice piece! I miss being able to just turn stuff out like that. Looks a lot nicer than the plastic piece.

Thanks. Nothing better than access to cool machining centers and cad/cam software. Only limit is imagination and time.

Man, the machined piece is over the top. I'd love to have even a drill press in my shop let alone the gear you've got. The paint is soooo sweet too!!! Nice job McB!
