George, don't get to attached to having a glove box. As soon as the Vintage air goes in the glove box comes out and does not go back in.

The truck is really looking nice!

I finally got the C50 on the road by the way. I may have a line on a set of fenders for my rear flares.

It was a card board first, fiber glass over the card board and then re-moved the card board after it set. fits good and will hold up for many years,

George, that's great way to fix the weak glove box! Was it tough getting it back in when it was done? Did you bring it in from the back or the front? I may do my C50's that way. Regrettably the Vintage Air install does not leave much space left. I used my space for the amp for the radio. Ill send you a pic later.

So glad you truck is coming along, I forget is your engine/trans ready to drop in?

It comes in from the back, A piece of cake. The hard thing is to remove the old card board. That took me a while.

The engine and transmission has been in the truck for over a year now. been holding off buying a carb. I don't want gas to set in the bowl and gum up so I haven't got the carb. It was the same as the tires and wheels. Setting there for three years would not be good on the tires, DRY rot

Yesterday it rained and today also and the same until Christmas. So I did not get anything done on the ole girl. That is what I deal with here is Florida, But at least it isn't snowing like up north

FedEx delivered the rear bumper today. I hope to install the bumper tomorrow. I have to get a set of stainless bumper bolts from Ace hardware, if they are open tomorrow. If not then the next day.

Troubles, troubles, troubles. Well, it doesn't look like I will ever get the bumper on my truck. I ordered a step side bumper and they sent me a fleet side. I didn't notice until I stepped back from the truck. So I will have to send it back and I hope that the company will send me the right bumper. A fleet side bumper is 76 inches long. Way too long for a step side truck.
So I mounted the tag bracket to the holder bracket and the tag light. I repainted them all and they are ready to mount on the bumper when it get here.

The company I purchased my bumper is giving me a run around about the refund. Seems like I have bit off more than I can chew on this bumper 196.58 down the tube.

Re: 1968

The company that I purchased the rear bumper said it would fit my truck, well Now they finally agreed that it want. So they are going to refund my money. I got this funny feeling that I might take a bath on this part. They said that they have to check the bumper out first. I understand that, but I still have this feeling. George

Re: 1968

This is what i would do.

If its clear they sent the wrong part they should up the anti and pay return shipping, call them and give then a chance to do this.

Take pictures of the bumper before packing it up, pack it up better than when they sent it and take pic's of the packing first before sending it back. Then give them a chance to give you the refund,

If they don't then let them know you frequent a forum with literally hundreds of viewers that would love to know they are not coming thru on there word with the refund, Let them know you will let post on line to let everyone know of your experience.

If they continue to give you a run around or say its damaged file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office.

worked some more on my new shop. Getting the slab ready for concrete next month. new shop will be 21x24 this will be a really improvement of what I have. no more working on the dirt. The company that I bought the rear bumper from finally got off their horse and gave me a paid fedex shipping label today. So I sent back the bumper. So now it will be a awaiting period for my refund. They said 5 to 7 business days after they receive the bumper and they look it over. keep your fingers crossed for this to
