Not a pickup but this is my 72 big block highlander. I have had it stored for the last 15 years and I just brought it back home.

Here is a ‘72 C10 Highlander C package truck that was a family member’s. It’s sitting in a barn where it’s been for the last 25-30 years or so. All original paint, original seat in perfect condition with a clear plastic seat cover still on it. I’ll have to get more pictures next time I’m over there. It’s unfortunate looking right now as it’s filled with mice nests and mouse scat all over the inside. As soon as I finish my ‘72 K10 project, this one is next on the list. Attachment 2056240

Yes, it sure does. No white below the lower moulding, only the top. It was dark out when I took the pics and no light in the barn, so I couldn’t get a decent picture. I’ll post one this weekend.

Oh, that is a super nice color combo with the grey plaid. I have a Highlander and would love a “ C. “ package. If you change your mind on restoring it and want it to go to a good home keep me in mind.

Ok so I got more pictures of the barn find Highlander I’m going to work on next. It has the one dent in the passenger front fender but other than that is a really straight truck. That original seat is immaculate too! Can’t wait to get it out of that old barn and get started on it.

What's real nice about that truck is that it doesn't look like anyone bootlegged any parts from it, like the exterior mirrors and tilt wheel and the original unique PA1 Wheelcovers, like was done to so many of them. I'm assuming all the A/C components are intact too.

That’s super awesome, enjoy cleaning her up, that’s gonna be fun seeing it come back to life.

Nice truck, get it out and give it a bath. Looks like it will clean up pretty good.

Love the light yellow on these....looks kinda bare without the black on the lower molding & the paint detail on the hubcaps. Id definitely welcome it to the driveway!

Re: Do you have a 1972 Plaid Pickup?

agree completely, great truck overall, but a weekend of work on the lower trim and hubcaps would do wonders. Personally, I would hunt down some PO3s, even though the nice ones are getting pricey - but that's what came on the truck originally. But "all" white caps look terrible (to me), just adding the black and blue trim to the solid white cap would do wonders. Very quick fixes to make this truck a gem. And a seat cover, of course :).

I guess you could say that I just found a SWB Highlander. It was hiding out in my garage. 😀 I have owned this truck for about 1 1/2 years. I have done a ton of work including paint, wooden bed and suspension. The only thing that I haven’t done is the interior. The reason that it is not done is my wife. She remarked that she really liked the interior when she saw the truck for the first time. I was just the opposite and couldn’t wait to get it changed out. I bought full replacement TMI interior for the truck. As I worked on the truck, the interior started to grow on me. I decided that I would redo the Highlander seat. The TMI interior is still in the boxes it was delivered in! The truck won in the first show that I put it in with the original interior, despite the worn spot on the driver’s side. I also found out from several C10 enthusiast that the Highlander interior was quite rare in the SWB C10. I have included pics of the truck and SPID for confirmation. I am actively looking for someone who carries the Highlander material. I actually found a cover at the C10 Nationals this past weekend, but it was $1300. Hopefully, there is someone on here that knows where they can be found a little cheaper. Thanks for the add to your page. I just saw this post today while checking out headliners.

Great truck. https://smsautofabrics.com/ has the material and the scrolls. Scrolls seem to be on backorder right now. Highlander material is expensive. We order our material and have a local guy sew it up.

BTW, Highlanders didn't have headliners. Originality may not be a concern, but I just thought I would give you a heads up.

Here is my Highlander with the green plaid I got from SMS. I just kept the original vinyl from the buckets and had the plaid material sewn in. If someone can flip the pic go for it .

Thanks for the info. I just put in a contact request tor product inquiry. Hopefully, they will get in touch soon. I hear you on the expensive. I’ve actually got a complete TMI interior for the truck, but would like to stay with the Highlander if it’s not too bad. Thanks for the heads up on the headliner, too. If I leave the Highlander interior, I won’t put one in. Just figured they would have had one , Doesnt make sense that they didn't. Thanks again.
