Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC
Im really getting close now... Gauges came yesterday and look pretty good in the factory dash, I will have the bumpers back from powder coat tomorrow and will build the brackets and get hung.. I cant stand it without the bumpers! I did a little cutting and got the back suspension down about an inch more.. I have to finish wiring some things and button up a bunch of little loose ends.. Leaving to make the trip to SEMA next week, back home then back to Scottsdale Goodguys.. If there is room in the hauler I would like to take it to Scottsdale.. Once we get home it will probably be snowing so Then I guess its time to get back on the 67 C10"Olive" thats been laying in my garage..

Thanks for all the compliments guys.. I loved my 64 truck and hated to get rid of it but couldn't pass up the deal I made on it... The 54 had big shoes to fill taking the place of my 64... I put almost 20k on the 64 in the 2 yers I owned it.. I am ready to drive the wheels off this thing!

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC
Updates wont be for a few weeks now.. Currently Rolling down the road in the hauler with the "Runt" and "project sick seconds" in the trailer on our way to Detroit speed to pick up two cars... Then we head to Little Shop of Horrors to see what they are working on then off to SEMA for the week.. After SEMA we head to compete in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Pahrump... I will be back on it hard when we return and get pics of how I mounted the bed...

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC
Back from a great SEMA show and the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational where we finished 12th!!!! Today we are headed to Scottsdale for the Goodguys show so I havent had time to work on the truck.. Here is some pics I've been promising... Front bed mounts.. The reason I did the left side off of the side of the frame is because of where the fuel lines and brake lines were routed.. I didnt want to have to move them from the factory location.. And of course I did the right side first or I would have made them the same.. Tank and compressor for air ride, the rear spot/reverse light, it says packard on the top.. I believe it was a dealer installed accessory and my new Moon Eyes green metal flake steering wheel.. Once back from AZ I am going to button this thing up!
