picked up some glasspacks today and put them on and they sound awsome i also got my firesticks (cb antennas) today and instaled them pics to come..... manages to finally kill my edelbrock 4 barrel and had to be towed 7 miles home by my dad and we put a quadrajet on it.

worst thing you could have done, edelbrock stomps quadrajunk in my book anytime. very easy and cheap to rebuild an edelbrock too.

i wish i coulda kept the edelbrok on it but it wasnt feeding my truck fuel and it was leakin it out all over my intake so i had the quadrajet in my garage till i can rebuild the edelbrock or buy a new one i personaly like the edelbrock better but gotta do what you gotta do so it runs

go down to your local parts store or summit and order you a rebuild kit it's like $40 and super simple to do.

picked one up today and found out the problem there is a cam in it so it was pumping to much fuel into the carb and it would flood it self out so i picked him up a electric fuel pump today and it works great

how would a cam in it make it flood? and then electric fuel pump fix it? if it had a bigger cam in it it'd need more fuel and not flood out it would starve for fuel not flood. An electric pump isn't gonna help a flodding issue, you need an adjustable pressure reg. I hope you have one for it. A simple block mounted pump is more then enough to feed the carb, we had a nasty cam in one pure race car radical idle and block mounted pump feed it plenty.

i was running the block mounted pump and the truck kept flooding out now i have the electric pump with pushes 7 psi constant and haven't had the problem since

Re: 1988 chevy resto project

that's not right because a block pump usually puts out less then 7 psi and should not "flood out" when you got more psi now and it's fine. That just doesn't seem right at all to me.
