Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
...probably one of the 1st 50 in the country. I was beginning to think I would have to buy a single plane from GMPP or the Victor Jr...then this one finally came out.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
What size carb spacer should i get? 1 or 2 inch?
|
Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Hard to say...different motors work better with lots of spacer...others don't want any at all. I had run my 383 w/o one...but the fuel pressure gauge was hitting the valve cover...so I added a 1" spacer (w/open insert) to get the gauge of the vc...and the motor liked it.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Hmmm. I am not really sure now that i am not going to get that fancy one if i actually need one. I think i will just skip if for now. There are way too many types and sizes to choose with out having it running already. I will pick on out later if i think it needs help. Does GMPP make duel plain for regular heads or is the edelbrok the only option?
|
Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
nope....just Edelbrock. But then...I think maybe GM makes more e.f.i. intakes.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Did your 6.0 come with an intake and throttle body? I have one that has the wrong throttle body. I am willing to buy or trade if you have the one I need.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Just found your for sale thread. You have the same one I do. I'm in Tyler all the time, maybe we can get a meet and greet together for the Tyler area sometime.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
finished degreasing the front crossmember, trans crossmember, lower control arms, and trailing arms, and the coil spring/shock mount crossmember. Now I'll hit 'em with a wire brush and some POR15 paint and then put in the new bushings. The I'll finally be able to install the front and trans crossmembers...and finally put the motor in the frame! I guess its time to start my '68 GMC LSx "build" thread since I'm through with disassembly.
sold my VVT stuff so there's no going back to EFI now. |
Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Good deal. Wish i could sell my stuff. Not even one hit on my selling add. Thats ok. Hey you dont know of any blower maniflods for these do you? Like to put 6-71 on. That would rock.
|
Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
If you go efi there are several options...not sure about carb'd options for LSx motors though.
|
Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
No 671 or 871 manifolds to date. Like 68 said there is several for the fi models like the magnam or magnison(I'm sure those ain't spelled right), vortex and ati procharger. A 671 would be cool on one of these though.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
well it looks like BDS (or somebody else) has a adapter plate for LS1 style heads? Or do they also support the LS3 style heads?
