Yeah, I bought one of those too, I drive it when it's not nice enough out for the GMC! ;-)

I love that this survivor is a 305-V6. What a great truck to have survived! I mean it'd be nice if someone stored a 396 Sierra Grande shortbox, but if you can't have that, this is very cool as well.

Yep this is the thread.
Truley a amazing truck.
wish the op would update with us.

Just goes too show they are out there.
I think finding one is less common than winning the lottery.

Aaaaamazing!!!!!! Neat story....I know I couldn't leave one sitting like that, but I understand that it was just transportation at the time and not a collectable.

Is that a accessory horn cap I see? That by itself is pretty neat!!!

Hi Guys/Gals, sorry for such a long delay. I have been bounce around different states for work and doing family stuff (youngins). This post kind of fell on the back, back burner. Attached are some more pictures. I have relocated back to my home state so I should be able to be better with certain request.

Amazing! Can I please see a close up of the window cranks? I picked up some ‘67 handles that have smaller knobs on them.

Thanks

Have you mentioned this to GMC? I think they would like to see images of it.

This is unreal. Hard to tell but it looks like it doesn't have a SPID. Love the V6! Thanks for sharing.

Thank You for posting this Story and pictures.
If you have time could you take pictures of armrest and vent window levers.
I have a 67 and it did not have armrests from the factory.
The armrest on this truck look like ones that were on 66 trucks.
I know which Armrest I will add to my truck now.
Thanks
Dwayne

I guess at some point the fiberglass cap was put on the bed just to save space? It's one made for a Ford.

I love this truck! As far as the museum idea, I might reconsider that. A few years back tragedy hit the Corvette museum by means of a sink hole and destroyed a ton of irreplaceable rare Corvettes. Just food for thought. Thanks for sharing your family heirloom!

So cool! Just wondering- are you ever planning on putting it in a car show? I bet a lot of guys from this forum would travel to see this one.

I'd love to see that truck in person!

Was it common for the firewall/inside/dash to be painted differently then the outside in these 67 GMC's?

Yes, fawn was the usual interior color. Not sure about the firewall though.
