That wood truck is awesome. I made some trucks out of clay in high school ceramics class back in `85. There is a `68 Chevy, `56 Cameo and a `40 ford flat bed.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

I've built models, off and on, been to many model contests.
I'll start off with this 1/24 scale, kit-bash, curbside, with an aftermarket resin Cab Over Engine cab, some Bel Air 409 parts like wheel centers & lights, Volvo mirrors, turned aluminum wheel rims, real wood bed sides that are dovetailed, Corian chassis (that's why it's curbside class), tires from a crappy Countach kit (only good parts).

I love building dioramas. This is called Up A Creek. The plastic kits are basically box stock, weathered. The Mechanic is a Fujimi race mechanic, the James Dean figure is Jimmy Flintstone, washing machine/dryer are resin aftermarket. The sign is a photograph on thin aluminum, scratch-built post. I made all the cactus, barbed wire fence.

I love that! What an excellent job.

I like it too ,I have that Ford truck and probably 100 more models, most still in its wrapper ,dont know if I will ever get around to building anymore or not. My arthritis in my left hand hinders me with small parts ,its rough getting older.

Thanks special-K and flashed! :)

Here is the last project I completed:
http://cdn.ipernity.com/142/42/83/31...5feb0.1024.jpg

At the IPMS contest in Colorado (didn't win a medal); can see the Ken Eberts painting California Pit Stop above. The two small dioramas next to it are also mine (back has won 1st place medals at every contest, but it's not a Chevy).

Here is an alternate view, includes the Chevrolet service truck, so it's legit to post on this forum. :truck:

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

Oh good, old cars can be posted? This is a Chevrolet anyway. LOL
Scale Auto Enthusiast had a contest, included a decal sheet in the announcement issue. I knew most of the entries would be NASCAR, Indy, drag, had a feeling this would be different, and it was chosen and got published with the other winners. Taking a real Bel air 409 would be sacrilege, but this is a model! Scatch-built interior panels, removed all trim and drilled tiny holes, hot pin made rust holes, Porsche seat with duct tape, ship chain per rules, gas can (can't see here). Some parts made it onto the Chevy COE pickup.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

I don't think the powers that be care about getting off track a bit from the "title". Might be different if you started a thread that wasn't directly related, but within a thread? Hey, looks great!

I haven't built anything in years. I will get into it when the time is right. Right now it would be one more thing I don't have time for. I hope arthritis allows me that time, myself. I'm a fool for detail and I'd like dioramas to be as much of it as building the vehicles. Seeing your great work is very inspiring.
