Shoot, I don't know man. With gas prices and that "new" 3:73 I'm a little afraid to drive over there. I'll have to do that some time though.

I'm sure you'll need to make another parts run, :). Just think how much more fun you are having with those 3.73's! :burnout: (Well at least half of that, :D).

Thanks, it seems like I have progressed farther on this in the last 3 months than I have on the suburban in the last year, . Soon as the chassis is bolted together, back to the Burb.

Yeah, I'm fine with the running a peg leg for now. I wouldn't mind getting a hold of a posi though. He,y if you got one available, there's that parts run.

Took the chassis home this weekend and finished putting it together. It barely fit on the 10' trailer but it made it. We put it in the garage next to the "donor" chassis and started swapping everything over.

Only a few things left:

finish hooking up the brake lines
I'm probably going to have to install a shock relocator kit
install carrier bearing and drive shafts
and I may change the motor mounts.

Not to bad for a week's work, :D. Now, if I could make the same progress with the Suburban, :o , :) .

I had thought about running some 20's and 18's, but I kinda like the looks of the ralleys. I may run them for a while, :) .

Hart, Awsome truck. I just read through this. I've been waiting to see what you do to it. Looking good. That is one of the coolest trucks. Always reminds me of this.

That truck rocks, :metal: , I hope mine ends up half that nice!

Here's some more pictures of it completley stripped. It's got some "bruises" and some rust that will need fixed. I was cutting the holes for the a/c vents in my suburban and decided I might as well do the CrewCab while I was at it. Economies of scale, I guess, :).

Both are looking good Rob. It amazes me how much you are getting accomplished on 2 at the same time

I feel  with my slow pace.

Economies of scale! Actually, the move is forcing/motivating me to get certain stuff done before I leave. I have to stop and remind myself some times that it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Thanks, quite a bit of planning went into this before I ever started, which has allowed it to progress to this point.

It's come quite a ways since you last saw it following that "Lil" red Explorer, :D.

Did some rear suspension upgrades tonight. I added ECE shock relocators and their super track bar setup. The spring setup on the original chassis was a 2/4, but I'm thinking with the weight of the CrewCab, it will end up closer to 3/5. Figured I might as well relocate them while it was "easy" to get to.

Since this has evolved into a "build thread", I guess I need a cool name like all the other ones. Or is that :me: Anyone got some good ideas? 4DooRRestore? 67 QuadCab? QuadZilla? 67 MegaCab? Six7CC?............:help:

Yep, it's too late for any "cool" sounding names. It IS the Donkey.
