|
Re: Project: 65 C-10
Sweet rig man! Hey do you have any pics of how you mounted your york compressor underhood? I am going to run one also and would like an idea of where to start.

looks sick man, making me miss my 63

Re: Project: 65 C-10
I really need to update this thread. I have done a lot of work to the truck over the winter.
The control arms are stock ones from a 1987 chevy truck for the disc brakes and 5 lug. The compressor bracket is for a sanden compressor. Alan grove bracket. http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/S..._Long_Pump.htm That will give you what you are looking for. Engine driven is so much nicer than electric. I appreciate the interest guys.. |

Re: Project: 65 C-10
What did you have to do to the sanden to get it to work as an EDC?
|
Re: Project: 65 C-10
Hey I am doing a similar drop to my 65 long bed 3/4 ton with a granny trany. I was wondering if you changed the motor mounts and if so what did you use?
|
Re: Project: 65 C-10
WOW i havent been on here in awhile.. sorry guys.. i will def get some updated pictures for you all soon
SMBrouss- you have to get fittings that switch from AC to pipe thread. Also a stainless leader hose works great for the heat reasons. I also put a relief check valve on my tank right after the oil/water seperater. This relieves the pressure between the compressor and the tank so the compressor is not holding all of the pressure against itself. Zombie- yes i built my own motor mounts to drop it down to the x-member closer to clear my distributer with the stock firewall. |
