That’s my plan, but I found out many, many times in the past three to four years of owning this truck, plans change 

Exactly! I am at least lucky to have a truck to work on. And when I DO get back at it…LOOK OUT! ;)

Ok Rick, I think I told you once on your build thread that buying parts is progress...right? Well, in that case, I have made some pretty good progress lately.

For some one who is researching for the day that I get my long horn....

Where do you guys find all these NOS parts?

Swap meets? Storage sheds at your local dealer? Other members?

Man, those visors are GORGEOUS! I already knew you had those nice caps and belts.

If you run across another black NOS visor set let me know....please :)

I sure will. They were priced steep at 250, but it's the first pair I have seen for sale. I didn't want to take the chance of wishing I would have bought them and never running across another set. I have a very nice original set, but the have the starting instructions on them, which are not 1970 correct.

Ok, a minute bit of progress. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a hopper sand blasting gun. It actually worked! It's kind of a pain having to keep adding sand, but It worked :) I blasted a few small parts today. Ok, now to finish those corners on the underside of my hood. The spring is coming and I'm needing to start getting something done, darn it :sumo:

Looks good. I've been looking at their Soda blasting setups...they have one now for $99 and a coupon for $25 off any total sale over 100 so basically I can get a few more needed items and get the soda blasting complete setup for $74

Man, that's a good deal!

Here are the blasted parts in etching primer.

well i may be robbing my 72's engine and tranny and dumping it in my 68 due to smoking problems. i just have to locate a auto tranny crossmember or i'll have to take that from the 72 as well.

Well, I found a spare hubcap on eBay for my set of NOS caps. All it needed was a little flat black to be worthy as a spare. I know, it's not a lot of work...but hey! It's progress.
