Cool truck, quick question for you, what motor mounts did you use to put in this motor? And what transmission are you using with it?

the motor mounts are what avalanch engineering sent which i believe there not open anymore. another place you can get cummins conversion parts is autoworldmt. transmission is a 2wd dodge nv4500 with a divorced np205... heres a picture of the mounts i used

Okay thanks, like the truck a lot hope to do this someday? With a Cummins no GM transmissions will work right?

There are plenty of adapters out there to use a GM auto or manual trans.

well ive been slowly trying to get back to work on my truck dealing with building the house is taking up alot of my time and the heat we have had here the last while makes it to hot for me to work on it... i got all the cab stripped and epoxy primed, all the seam sealer is out, holes in the fenders for the emblems are shaved and smoothed ...the traction bars are welded up just working on the mounts, decided to change the trans cross member and t case mount...

How do you like the dash?

Is it much deeper then the original? I REALLY want do an 04+ dash but i am not sure if it would stick out to much or not

And which vintage a/c did you order, the original one for the truck? You can't use the one that come witht he dash?

i "liked" the dash, my only problem with it was how tall it is... for that reason i look it out, i had it all trimmed and fitted to the front windshield which ment i would have to put a different style defrost vents in it... but the bottom of the dash came down to low and when i run the pedals mainly the clutch my shins come about 2 inches from the dash so i decided to go back to factory dash... i will just try n customize the factory dash a bit instead.

for the vintage air system i went with with VA Gen IV sure fit system and also went with the control panel kit so everything should be electric

Damn... Thats what I was afraid of

Its a shame cause it looks like it was meant to be...

I kinda found my self leaning to that when it comes, custom build a nice intergrated console into the dash to hold all the toys

Truck looks good

got the rest of the front end on... wow are new panels a poor fit now comaired to my last truck i did 6 years ago... so lots of trimming and grinding will be needed for a better fit... not looking for the perfect gaps but close to... also built one frame mount for my traction bars turned out pretty good...

Well the truck is on hold till summer time the last few months has been hectic with the house were finally moved in but unfortunately old man winter hit before I got my man cave pad poured... So I give up my shop and put everything in storage till spring .... Unless the weather smartens up for a few weeks....

My vintage ac unit finally showed up but will stay in boxes till next year and all my brackets to mount a Harrison ac compressor and gm one wire alternator... All fit fairly nice... I have pictures to come but I don't have Internet at home ...

Very nice. Sucks to hear about your pad, but you have to do what you have to do man. Auto world does a nice job on the brackets and such. I like their pulleys too.

Where did you get the dual fan hub pulley?
