I'm basically going to cut the stock filler tube down right after the taper. Then I'll make my own tube. We'll see if/how it works. In my head its going to work fine...but you know how that works. I jst need to make sure I have a good enough height difference to fill it. Otherwise I'll have to let the passenger side bags down whenever I fill up:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That would be hilarious to see. The old dude at the next pump saying " excuse me sir, I think your shocks are busted"

Ok, don't tell me you still haven't gotten your motor mount yet? Why isn't this bad @ss motor in its home yet?

My radiator that was supposed to get to me in 5 days took 4 weeks and they didn't even send me everything I ordered. My master cylinder/booster setup that I was told would get here in 5-7 days when I ordered it on 5/31...still hasn't been shipped yet. My wiring kit for my accuair stuff that I ordered was never sent to me. I wanted to get all of the wiring and brake stuff done first before I put the motor in but these vendors and their BS shipping promises are killing me.

Almost done with rear! I'm very happy with how its turned out. I'm still trying to decide where to mount the valves for the air system.

Actually you can..... However, you will have to swap all of the body mounts (except for the very front ones) and you'll have to weld the end of the rear burb frame rails onto the truck chassis if you want to run a burb factory bumper.....

The shocks are the ones that Porterbuilt supplies with his drop member setups. I'll have to look at the box to give you a part number.

I'm still trying to figure out what to do in the front. Do I make some funky angles to makethe stock back seat bolt up? Do I make it simple and then just get some bucket seats or something?

Pretty productive day. I moved/added my filler tube to the side of the tank in an attempt to use the stock location. I cut all of the sheet metal for the floor and started welding it down. I used 16ga which should be plenty strong, however, it is a PITA to cut.

Hope the tank works out for you dude. The floor looks great.... I need to get busy. Lol

I hope so too. I left the top fill spot there for now just in case it doesn't work out. If it works, I'll cut it out and patch it up later. I probably would've finished it all but it was 110 degrees today with the heat index. I was struggling.

I feel you brother. It was about the same here. Kind of hard to come home and jump back out in the heat. I own an auto detail business so me and the guys are out in the heat all day long.
Keep it up man.

I would love to do that. Maybe later. I think if I spend anymore money on it I'm going to have to change the title from "72 Suburban Build" to "The Bachelor Maker"...

Yes I do. I have a nice house with a 3 car garage off of Gopher Canyon in Vista.

There is a pretty extensive street cruise up in Escondido weekly. It is a little far for me to go to being down here in east county but the Hot Rod Hauler guys go a lot. I have been having some driveshaft issues I need to work out but I might go this summer a couple of times.
Are you planning on driving the burban out or will it not be together in time?
