I like Five Guys too. Just so expensive to eat there (everywhere these days).

I dont get the animal burger, looks like a regular patty with standard hamburger fixins, what am I missing? We dont have in and outs around here.

Found on the 'net:

What is an In-N-Out Burger animal style?

Grilled onions cooked down in the collected meat juices on the hot griddle can be added to any sandwich, and come standard if you ask for your burger or fries Animal Style. An Animal Style burger also includes extra Thousand Island spread, mustard grilled patties, and extra pickles.

Also this:

What is the difference between animal style and regular?
The most-popular items on the secret menu are the "animal-style" burgers and fries. Ask for your burger "animal-style" and you'll get a burger with mustard fried into each patty, plus pickles, chopped grilled onions and an extra helping of In-N-Out's famous sauce.

Don't make it to In-N-Out very often, but can't remember ever eating a meal that wasn't Animal Style because it's so good there is no need to switch.

There was a guy working there who was so fast, his hands were a blur. Was a sight to see for quite few years.

This is Lynsi Snyder, the Billionaire owner of In-N-Out. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Lynsi_Snyder Oh, she's married (4th time) so forgetaboutit. -BA

My daughter works at the Keizer, OR location. She likes the job and they pay better than any other fast food place around.

They claim it's the busiest location of all. Still can get a 2+ hour wait if you time it wrong.

I'm not a fan of the food or the wait times so I rarely go. Her favorite is an animal style lettuce wrap ( no bun) and extra cheese.

I had 2 animal style 3x3’s over the weekend while in Utah. Was a nice cheat weekend as I’ve been watching my diet pretty close the last several months.

Now it's Taco Bell in Oakland, CA that's suffering. Wow.

Taco Bell locations in Oakland are forced to CLOSE dining rooms indefinitely - and switch to drive-thru service and cashless payments only - amid series of robberies and unrelenting crime surge

Just down the street, a Denny's fast food restaurant closed in late January due to the violence.

In February it was announced that Oakland's only In-N-Out Burger restaurant is also set to shutter its doors this month after 18 years, with the business declaring that customers and staff are now 'unsafe.'

maybe they'll move it to the midwest :D

Rising crime risks turning Oakland into a ‘ghost town.’ Newsom is sending in reinforcements

In-N-Out is permanently closing one of its restaurants for the first time ever, saying that its Oakland location will soon shutter because of car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies targeting employees and customers.

WoW look at those stats in first paragraph;

New York
CNN

Violent crime and other felonies fell in 2023 in America’s biggest cities. They increased in Oakland.

Robberies grew 38% last year in Oakland, according to police data. Burglaries increased 23%. Motor vehicle theft jumped 44%. Roughly one of every 30 Oakland residents had a car stolen last year, according to a San Francisco Chronicle analysis.

I have a hard time believing the falling crime rates in big cities. Seems like they are continually changing the definition of crimes. Refusing to prosecute for crimes. Its a strange time.

Last year a friend I've known since high school went to Oakland Airport to pick up his wife, he was early and he spotted a Starbucks earlier so he decided to go wait there.

When he parked he said I barely shut my truck off and a car with 3 guys pulled in behind him blocking him in, 2 jumped out, they ran to his driver window with a gun the other busted his window out with a baseball bat, the guy with the bat then jumped in the back of his pickup busting the rear window out. They got his wallet with about $400 in it credit/gas cards and a small bag in the rear seat.

Even though Krispy Kreme/Panera Bread bought out Whataburger in 2019 they still have the slogan stickers on their windows, "In God We Trust" and "United We Stand"...Some green haired nose ring types questioned that a while back.......
I'm in no way a Raw Raw patriot spiritual guy...but I do Love My Constitution!
Never had an In/Out. It's Whatabuger in Texas and Blake's in New Mex!
