Hey Kevin the truck is looking awesome. I'm sure you will have it rolling by the spring for sure. When it comes time for your inspection and to register it I can hook a brother up. I have a guy that will do it for you. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Hey Kart... Thanks.

I picked the cabinets up at costco about 1 1/2 ago. The brand name is "CSPS".

They are just 3 toolboxes that I took the wheels off of and placed side by each.

http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/a...g/f56c39b0.jpg

They were only around $500 CDN or so... they are actually really nice quality.. sturdy, bearing slides.. etc.

The front of my master cylinder protruded almost to the front of my valve covers... So.. decided to flush mount my brake booster to the firewall.

67Cheby pointed me in the direction of Project Where'd the Money Go. It's way less surgery than I thought it would be.

I will have to finish the linkage later but it looks dead simple.

I think this will be a lot cleaner.

I was away for a few days and decided to do a quick photoshop/hack of my truck with some wheels I've been drooling over.

Cool wheels.

How tall are those rear wheels and tires?

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build

I decided to get the cab on the chassis so I can nail down my wheelbase, build my driveline, mount the front clip, start working on getting the porterbuilt hood hinge "pads" welded to the hood, etc etc.

I re-enacted my Egyptian cab moving process (I need to incorporate some of their ancient levers and pulleys next time though..) Elevate cab, roll the chassis over/under and lower the cab..

http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/36c44d19.jpg

.. then I cut out my "inner fenders" to clear the tires and bolted them up..

it's amazing how a few hours of hanging sheet-metal can make it look like you actually accomplished something.. plus it's extra motivating to go out into the garage and see a truck there rather than a chassis and some parts...

here are some pics.
one of my daughters got a whizzy new camera that does panorama shots ... so I'll add some of those pics... has kind of a wide angle / fisheye lens effect...

Hopefully tomorrow I can get the hood in place and functioning... we'll see.

Looks good.
Just curious why you didn't paint the firewall before reinstalling the cab?

Looks like you have been doing something now.. You should of called me and borrowed the cab lift, but it probably would have taken longer to pick it up than it did to lift the cab back on.

Those fisheye pics just look weird, kind of make me feel nauseous, strange!

So whats next??

Thanks looks like I left enough room to put bigger wheels and tires on my ride in the future..

Good question man.

I decided to do all the paint work at the same time so cowl, underside of hood, bulkhead for the vintage air kit a few interior bits and whatever I fab up for the bed.

I needed the cab on to get my box positioned in the right place and nail my wheelbase so that I can build my driveshaft.

Hopefully only off and back on 1 more time.

Hey Darren ... Was going to call you but couldn't find your number.
Thanks though.

The fisheye shots were designed to induce a stomach ache.

As for what's next, I think I'm going to weld the porterbuilt hood hinge pads on and get the hood operating and then move on to the raised bed floor, accuair mounts and bed mounts. Etc etc
