i was looking at this bone stock 67.... that thing was super tall compared to mine! it was like 2 inches taller in the front then mine! my truck actually seems a little low for stock height....

Re: build thread " 4 by" 68 custom camper 4wd 1/2ton

im going to buy a new rubber bushin mount kit for the cab but the rockers and floor is completely solid in this truck. he has probably the nicest cab in probably a 10 mile radius from me. i havent seen any around me this solid originally.

Re: build thread " 4 by" 68 custom camper 4wd 1/2ton

i did manage to get the right side chrome washer knob thing for the original radio. and i cleaned the engine bay up as well as the outside of the truck. truck hasnt been driven for maybe 4 days lol it doesnt see much action now that my trucks in commision. but i need to pull the rims off wire wheel the backs paint them and then i need to do body work and primer the whole truck and then i need to order some new parts: Dash pad and new rear taillight lenses. also need to fix the heater switch the one on the truck is broken i think. so i need to make some progress on it but im the only one who works on it now, and with my schooling and job its tuff finding time for it. i feel really bad but it will get some attention very soon :)

There's a bunch of little things I've done. Sadly since August it's 40 minutes away from me so I don't get much time to work on it :/

alright so some progress and updates about this truck... 1 i finally let her play around in the mud.. and what a good truck she was didn't even engage 4wd it was all in 2wd! second i finally painted the glove box inner black to match the gauges ( i know its a 67 only thing but since its so close to 67 and i like that style a lot then why not? lol) and then i attacked her.... she finally resembles a 50th anniversary! been waiting for this for a long time. still need to find a darker gold but for now this looks wayy better! forgot to take pics but i also painted the steering wheel grey to match the column.

Its looking good Rick! I've thought about painting my glove box door like you did or having someone airbrush a mural on it when the time comes. What type of paint did you use on the body?

Alright Rick, way to go. Is that a driveway special paint job or did you have it done? Either way it looks good to have one color now when you take out. Well done, sir.:ele:
