Re: 1959 Fleetside REBORN

Chuckdriver, The dash will get finished when I decide on the ac-heat unit. The sure-fit unit crosses the hump in the floor. The GenII compact does not, therefore will be easier to cover up. But its not cable actuated. And I would like to do some wiring up there before to dash is welded in. And just like at work I'm waiting for supplies. The steering column and joint/ shaft was to be deliveried between 5/31-6/6 and it still not here. We are going to start the rearend this weekend to........After we go to harbor freights parking lot sale. Need(want) shrinker stretch and bead roller.

Looks like it is from the factory assembly manual, scanned and enlarged. I did the same with the wiring diagram.

Great idea! I really like your thinking. So I guess your dad will get a workout in his "casual" clothes widening out that side?

I did a little dismantling of the rearend today so I can cut the cradle. Sectioning 2.625" from it. And I received the steering joint, but no steering column.

I finished my jig today. And we will call it jig 2.0! Notice where the chair is and where the welder is. Dad did some tigging today on the cradle.
