Toxic Orange, here is a pic of mine with 20 inch Coy's. I had to go back to a 15 to be happy

Man, I like it both ways. I am so torn between both the looks. Your truck looks awesome either way! I am thinking about getting some Coys and keeping the Rallies in the garage just to have a change of scenery when I get tired of seeing it one way or the other.

What are the specs on the lowering job, like the stance of your stepper.

Thanks,
Bags in place of springs. Short bag hats in rear so no frame driling. 2" drop blocks, ece super trac bar and shock relocators with kyb drop shocks. In the last pic it's touching the frame. In the front there are lower cups under the bag that fit in the spring pocket.

26 1/2" to fender in rear and 29" front. Front could be lower with spindles or cupping the lower control arms.

Picture from today with front clip on. Raised the rear to 30" and front 29" still

How tall are your lower cups in the front?

They are 3" as ordered. I know some cut down the cups but if I did the bag would rub on the lca when aired out. Now there's around 1/4" space between the bag and lca's

Don't let this thread die out! lol My brother and I are tearing down a '69 GMC Stepside and will probably go with this look. We will probably use the Wheel Vintiques 62 series with a 5 lug conversion axle and discs for the front.

What is the widest tire that can fit under a non-tubbed stepside fender?

Not exactly a truck but here's my lowered suburban with factory steel wheels on it, 15x6's in the front and 15x8's in the rear.

I haven't changed my caps in ages. I think I'll go back to these for a while.

Heavymetl,
There are only a few lowered trucks I like, and yours is at the top of the list, I've really admired that truck since I found it on the google image search awhile back. Love the wheels and keeping the patina with upgraded engine. Excellent work!

Wow, thanks for the nice comments. I've driven the truck a ton of miles and had a blast! I've hauled firewood, countless hot rod parts, and even used it to move my furniture across town. Gotta love a toy than can be used as well.

This was mine after the first paint job around 88-89. I wished I had some pictures before the color change! Sitting on 15"x 8" ralley's. Don't remember the tire sizes. Had the coils heated up in front and 3" blocks in the back. Cheap drop at the time.:chevy:

I love the LS swap idea for my own 69 stepside. Did you have a build thread for your LS swap. I would like to see some details on the swap such as motor mounts used and retaining the stock speedo.

What caps could I put on these? They are from a 79 with disc brakes.

Are moons possible?

With the bags finally in I can contribute to a thread I've read often.

Am taking advice on wheels! Current thoughts: stock caps plus rear spacers, stock wheels with spider caps and rear spacers, or a plus sized rally with spiders.
