I resemble that remark.

I know there has been some discussion on 1972 Blazers with painted door latches, but this survivor 1969 has them too..

I am confused on this. It has the passengers seat latch towards the drivers side, much like the 1972 models. My 1970 has it much further to the passengers side. It does have the correct 1969 passengers seat belt retractor location.

Wow, great eye, that is interesting.

It's also worth noting the front carpet trim plate is the 72-only style used by Flint.

Because it was repainted.

My '70 has that same carpet trim plate on both ends of the bed.

Then it's been replaced over the years.

No, it was bought new by my father in 1970, and I have had it since 1987, when it only had 50k miles. It still had the original tires on it.

Your 70 would be unique then. Any chance you have photos that document these as present back in the 70s? No offense, but I remain skeptical these are original equipment but am open to seeing evidence to the contrary.

Here is an unrestored 1970 from BAT with the same carpet trim plates front and back:

Interesting. The truck isn't quite all original though: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...k5-cst-4x4-11/

Start a separate thread on the topic and we can dig into it further?
