These 6 lug rocket racing wheels are sweet. Pretty expensive at $400.00 each. Looks like they only come in 20" size. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for used slot mags. I like the old dull looking ones

Re: Show off your Wheels
Dont have them on the truck yet, but finally got them painted with the tires mounted. These are 16 inch steelies from Wheelsmith, painted, and using trim rings and hubcaps for the 41-46 trucks.

I see a set on eBay that are the right size and price is ok, but not sure if its the angle of the pictures , but they don't look quite right... Like the metal the slots are cut in is flat instead of curved?

Re: Show off your Wheels
Found them on Craigslist in Alabama . $75 extra (total ) for shipping. They look to be in great shape.

Re: Show off your Wheels
I've got 235/75's on my 15x7's but if I'd had the money I'd have had 65's on them. The 75's give the truck a bit of a cartoonish, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" car look. But mine were takeoffs from Craigslist and waay cheap, so I'm not complaining.

Re: Show off your Wheels
When I bought my truck it had two new front tires , but the back tires were shot. So I got new back tires , different brand , but same size 31 x 10.5 r15 Not sure how that translates to 225 60, etc. I'm gonna go for a set of radial t/a , so I can sell my rally wheels with good rubber for decent $$ 225 60 is a nice looking size for 15x7

Re: Show off your Wheels
My original wheels that were beat up
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps6e2f9090.jpg Then I bought these but I could not lower the truck,no fender clearance. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...rd11211005.jpg So after not finding wheels that I liked and would clear the front fenders I bought new 18inch wheels for my C3 corvette. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps7aeec13c.jpg The front wheels on the Corvette were 17X8 so I machined the centers out of the front alunimum TT II and moved the centers out to the edge then after a good polish the fronts clear just fine. The rear 17X9 from the Corvette fit as ther were. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps29eeb49b.jpg |
