Re: Parting a 72 super with tach, tilt, posi
Randy, I see that the upper bedside moldings are still on the truck. Are they for sale and if so how much?? If you have the rest of my stuff off I'll be down tomorrow. Let me know where you'll be.

Randy, since I doubt anyone wants a roached out longbed... do you think you could cut some stuff off for me?
This bed looks straight and somewhat original paint? If there are no rust holes and the wheel lip looks good, I'd like to get the DS rear wheel well from the bodyline down and about 6-8" back. I also need to make some small patches and a couple marker patches so a +/- 12" section off the front of the bed somewhere. The last is my own fault... again, if its straight (should be "rust free") I'd like to get the rear half of the bed. I learned a hard lesson with a grinder and warped the snot out of the back of my DS fleetside bedsides and would like to replace it. I did great with the welder and warped it with a flap disc installed a marker delete patch. Lesson learned. To save on shipping, I don't need the whole thing, just the "flat" outer skin. You can slice it right where the bed starts curving in to the taillight, just above the trim, and just below the lower bodyline (so I have something to use to line it up) and somewhere near the wheel well like in pic. That should give a somewhat "flat" piece to ship. Let me know what you think. I know shipping will be $, let me know what you can do. Here's the shorty bedsides I'm trying to save. Why? Not really sure. I know the new ones are close, but the curves just aren't right. And I kinda like a challenge. I got the hardest part fixed already, the upper wheel arch has been cut out and replaced... and I didn't warp it this time! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1422082777 |

Re: Parting a 72 super with tach, tilt, posi
Lee, I don't think its original, I have some others out there, any certain one your wanting? On the 2 wire stands $7 for pair. I have another tower clamp out there, maybe more of them I will look
Gary, they moldings are riveted on, not any good. all depends on time tomorrow, I may be going to get a truck after 2 Ben, just bring me some goodies, lol. I get $70 for the pair usually 67 Chevy RedNeck, its been repainted a couple times and alot of bondo, sorry 1968aj, I'll get radio shipped out to you Mon. On the headliner I'd take $30 and $20 for visors, plus shipping, and guessing it would be probably $40-50 because of size, but it may be less. These are the only belts I have 88IronDuke, I have some other sets out there $19 shipped Thanks Randy |

I am looking to try and replace all my clamps with original Wittek towers, the originals are so much better than the repops. So anything that you may have to complete a set, I'll most likely take. Thanks for looking at the alternator. I am looking for an original Delco-Remy with a date code that would somewhat match up with date of my 72 Blazer's build date (October 1971). A Summer to Early Fall of 1971 date is perfect, but anything reasonably close will work too. I will get it re-built and have the aluminum housing re-skinned. I am definitely hung-up on this originality thing! Thanks, Lee |

Re: Parting a 72 super with tach, tilt, posi
Are either of the 2 new trucks 292 motors, if so do they have original p/s brackets. Do you have complete throttle knob assembly? How about a lighted cigarette lighter? Thanks Ed
|
Re: Parting a 72 super with tach, tilt, posi
Ed, both are 350's. No manual throttles on them. I think they just have the stock lighters in them. Thanks Randy
