But, if you can do it then it isn't a big deal. :chevy: I'd like to have a 1971 or 1972 Burb 4x4. I might try and get one. |

Yes, she's a roller right now. As of next week I will have picked up my transmission and transfer case. After that, all I will need is a date code correct 350. My progress will speed up big time after that!

Dads 72 has participated in some interesting projects.
He picked it up new at the Oshawa truck center in 72 , I learned to drive on it and now my son will enjoy another 40 years use after frame off restoration ! |

After 3 days at Paul's custom fabrication, and a lot of parts from precision fab as wellAttachment 1539320
Plans. All black leather interior (already have). Ls2 with ls3 heads 4l80e with 205 (already have). , all new wiring ,new paint,powder coat frame. It has Dana 60 front 14 bolt rear. 411 as of now but will get 513 near future, locker in back with all around 3/4 ton disk brakes , 52 inch front springs with diy mounts 8" front springs, back has a ord shackle flip with a 56" 6 "lift springs with a custom fab bracket for rear end front hangers. She's a lil soft but the billstien shocks will def help it when I get back home. Just got word I might be coming into a ls7 wit accessories ,harness,6speed automatic , peddle an what ever else I need if I want. So many options my heads spinning:mm::mm: |

New pics got it on some 32s because they came with the Rallys and they were cheap. Needs a bit bigger tire for the lift when I replace them. Also need to add 1" to the back to level it out |

I had read through this thread about a dozen times a year for the last 4 years. Maybe more...Finally picked a 4x4 Suburban up a few weeks ago.

Finally finished ! Started frame off resto in May 2013. Finally back on the road. Thanks to all who helped / supported / provided parts ! My dads truck will now pass to my son for another 40 years of enjoyment !

1972 k10 350/TH350 52k original miles. Poor girl has been in VA her entire life and needed a whole lot of surgery, 138 hours of rust repair so far and she's still not ready for the ball, but she's finally home.

My '69 I got this past summer - She is strong and the family is having a blast with her. Daily trips for the boy's Baseball, Rugby and Select football - Love this thing! And in my "button-down" neighborhood it's a stand out, so to speak!

Thanks... It was just north of Sacramento, CA. Those are the original CA plates. Protector plate and docs from the original owner came with it as well. His name was Ronald McDonald (swear it's true!) The Burb lived its entire life just north of Sacramento...nice a dry up there. My two oldest boys, 14 and 12, and I flew there and spent over a week driving it back to the Houston area. - no AC and all!
