Where I grew up, a neighbor had an 80 model 2wd, loaded and blue. Nice score.

:metal:I like it, nice stance. Any plans for wheels/tires, or are you going with what you have currently?

I put those on. It had 15 by 7 rallys on it with 275/60's all the way around and they rubbed in the front so I put those. I like the look so much better

2 1/2 in spindles in front with 2 coils cut. Had to shim it out alot but all that was done before I got it. Back is shackles and hangers with all leafs taken out but main and overload. Relocated shocks measured to the drop. It rides great. I'm not happy with it in general because instead of putting smaller tire in front, previous owner took out wheel wells. The cruise control was mounted on them and tire changing equipment.

Re: How many 2wd Blazer do we have?

Its really low I can give u fender to ground measurements. Its a doable drop just had to do without cutting corners like previous owner did. It scrapes the fender occasionally when I turn sharp and if u back up with the wheels turned hard it will rub heater core. That's why I don't like it but it looks cool I guess

Mines A 79 Having some smog issues can anyone one give me some advice????????????????
Cant seem to get the timing adjusted right bought a new harmonic balancer replaced the carburetor every time I set the timing the carburetor starts back firing and the engine dies. Ive been having trouble finding some one who can fix it. Some one told me it may be the timing chain but Im stuck.

Do you have any info on the hangers? do you know who makes them? i looked and looked and could never find a company that made hangers for the Blazer.

I thought about having some made for my truck, then i just decided to flip the axle.

can you take pictures of them?

I love the stance of the truck! she looks great, makes me wana go work on mine!lol

I would recomend flipping your axle. the previous owner did this drop and it would change ride height when it had a full tank of gas. flipped axle will provide a nice drop and still hold the weight of the top and any passengers better.

Found this one on CL asking $6500.00 I'm looking for a 2wd but I think he's asking too much, stock 350, nice red interior, original paint.

I think it would be tough to duplicate for that $. Looks like a deal to me, and I am really not looking for one. If it was local, I might be.

Re: How many 2wd Blazer do we have?

I'd seriously consider it, but must finish and sell my '77 c10.
It's only too much because I don't have the $.

I saw this one on CL and thought is was a good deal. Nobody has messed with it so you have a fresh palette to start with. Some nice rims will make it look great.

I just bought a 77 GMC 2wd blazer ....project , but shouldnt be horrible , no pics at this moment but I will see what I can come up with. Has anyone done a flip kit on one of these....? Does it have to be notched....?

Re: How many 2wd Blazer do we have?

If you do a flip kit you will want a notch.

X3.....no way around it. and plan on shock extenders. they will correct the shock angle. after a flip it causes the shocks to lay at 30 degrees and they wont work anymore. the extenders angle them back verticle

x4 and I can vouch for the rear shocks sucking after a flip kit.. I'm not going to spend any money on extenders just because it's going to be bagged soon enough. Have the front dropmember kit now just need to get all the other parts for it..

I bought this one yesterday. All stock (except for the motor was replaced in 97') from the original owner and in great shape. Will make a good family truck. I plan to lower it some, probably add 20's and drive it for a really long time : )
