my plans for the rear is the super notch and run the trailing arms for now and save more up to buy my wish bone setup. but yeah im gonna do my setup myself. i work at an exushuast shop welding exhuast all day and im trustin my self and my welds to do it all my self. And yeah im taking my truck to the Freaks of Nature show in august here in fresno. underconstruction. |
Re: My 68 c10
looks awesome man! so just cups/bags?
|
Re: My 68 c10
yeah just bags and plates. no drop spindles
|
Re: My 68 c10
what is the date on that show man. I want to do my bags soon but never really messed with the as far as wiring and routing. I need some guidance on what to buy, I want them to be slow a quite, Thinking on just doing the fronts first on my truck. Let me know heres what i believe i need. Upper plates and lower cups, bags, fittings, lines, compressor, about a 5 gallon tank, and valves but dont know which ones fill me in on your set up and costs of it if you dont mind.

i got a simple setup i spent probably 200 on my front setup with just the bags and cups plates and lines fitting etc. but i am runnin a t too a bike fitting for now i got danz vavles i need to put in but i want to get parkers they are really great. |
Re: My 68 c10
your running what kind of fitting and since you dont have valves are you still running the compressor..
|
Re: My 68 c10
well right now i mounted my compressor so i can hook them up when i need too.
the fitting i got from avs which is right around the corner from my dad. i got the 90 degree swivel push pull connectors on my bags and once everything like frame mods are done i will purchase the rest of my lines so i can run my compressor tank and valves |
Re: My 68 c10
How much more can you go down in the front before the control arms are on the ground are your cups cut
|
Re: My 68 c10
oh so if you where to drive the truck you wouldn't be able to dump it out and raise it up as you please because everything is not hooked up
|
Re: My 68 c10

and thats with out my drop spindles so once i put my drop spindles on my control arms so lay on the ground especially since im going with smaller tires Quote:

Re: My 68 c10
Oh ok, that would be a big problem for me. Was looking on a few sites last night seen a few 5 gallon tanks and a 9 gallon one that looked nice, I dont understand why some have larger holes then others and how many i actually need.

Re: My 68 c10
Hey, I love the way the truck is coming along!! Looks great. I have a quick question. What kind of lowering set up did you use on the truck? I have a stock 72 LWB and I want the ride height to look just like yours. Can you tell me what you did to achieve that look? Also, where did you get your 700r4? I picked up a used one that was rebuilt and I have had nothing but problems with it. I paid 750 for it. I am wishing I saved some more and purchased a brand new one. Can you tell me where you picked up yours? thanks a ton.. keep up the good work. Like you I started working on old trucks with my dad, 46 chevy truck, now I am into one of my own. Still learning too...
