I work at Linear Controls. Our office is right next to the Fed Ex building on Commission Blvd., right off of Southpark. When I get in from offshore, I'll PM you and see if we can meet up.

Guys check out my new hydroboost unit. It comes with the threaded shaft and part to couple it to the brake pedal. The unit also came with the mounting plate that bolts straight to the fire wall. I got it for $320 shipped to my house. I found it on Ebay the guys name was Elliott. He was a great person to work with and by far the fastest person to respond I have ever worked with.
I dropped the frame and other parts at the blaster Friday. It should be done in 2 weeks. It seems like a long time but the price was unbeatable. Not working on the truck this weekend was great. I got a lot done in the yard, washed cars and rested. WOW this is what all the guys do when they are not racing the clock on a project! Later

I just realized you have the same 383 Stroker engine I want to put in my stepper.
Would the TH400 hold up, or do I need a different trans too?

The HP-2 line of muffler by Flowmaster's. My plan is also to run a set of electric cut-outs. The fit will be very tight but I think I can make it fit.

Thanks 502ms,

The 383 is a fun motor, lots of low end power. A TH400 should hold up fine. Funny you asked about the tranny. I droped of my 4l80e at the shop for a rebuild and the shop owner talked me out of using it. He wanted me to run a TH400 or a 700r4. I want a lock-up so i can drive the truck on trips, So he is going to build me a bad ass 700r4. Later

I picked up my frame friday from the blasters. I brought it straight to the paint booth and set it up for painting. This morning I starting painting. The color is a dark silver. Tomorrow I will get some pictures of it out the booth and post.

A little update from the weekend my RCD bilstein shocks are in and they are on the frame. All my components are installed. Next I’m going to remove the brake calipers and paint them, then install my wheels.

Sup guys,

I have not been working on my truck due to having to work on a rental unit. The tenant was a complete slob /hoarder! I have never seen anyone live like this. There was so much car hair I had to empty the shop vac 3 times!!! Check out a picture of her ice box!! WTF…WOW… I know it took me 4 hours to clean it and she was still using it!!!! I’m thinking it will take me 2 or 3 more weekends to get the place ready to rent. Then back to work on the truck.

Later Guys

Dhpenner,

You are right about the rear brakes. Im running a 94-96 Impala ss disk brake setup. I bought the brackets from Captain fab and all the other parts form all over the internet. I have about $300 invested in the setup with all new parts.
