I wish I could make my truck look like that. It looks alright from 20 ft, but she's hot some dents and dings and some rusty spots I think it would look better with some patina and a cool logo

No way.
That truck looks great the way it is.

That's her good side ;) I have actually been looking into shop logos on shiny trucks. Seems like it canned one and look good. Might go that route after I get it out of the nose bleed section

Shop logos are great if you keep your truck forever.

They are the first thing that turns me off (my opinion), when I look at trucks that are for sale.
I always try to figure out if there is a way to remove them.
They never seem to match what the new owner wants on the side of his new truck.

I really like the look of your truck.
Still all original looking from the outside.
The faux patina look is really hard to pull off.
That's why the real patina trucks are increasingly bringing more money.

It is mostly original as far asi can tell. I think it was painted about 10-15 years ago. Looks like they didn't prep it good enough. There are some rust bubbles forming around the drip rail and the passenger side rocker is in need of replacement. I'll have to do something with the side moulding as well, they put it on with screws instead of clips :/

Easy fixes. You have a nice truck- I would keep it that way. I have no problem with faux-tina; my truck is painted that way, but it was no where near as nice as your truck. This trend will pass, as have all the others. A nice original never goes out of style...

Well I got bored and busted out some sand paper. I personally hate body work and hate sanding even more. Since my right door has some major paint peeling issues I decided to try and create some patina on the drivers side. Looks fake to me but what do y'all think? And please be honest with your answers, I want to know whether I should add more or do less on the passenger side. First the pass side door and the rest I helped along.

Everything on the bed looks pretty good. And the top of cab and drivers door isn't bad. The hood and driver fender looks like a little much. Is the passenger door just where the paint peeled?

Drivers side look pretty cool. Passenger side is a little much but still looks ok because its only one panel thats excessive.

Looks good Shawn, since the passenger door is kinda beyond your control, I probably would have done the same. Either that or I would try to remove the white all together while trying to save the red beneath, but that may be about impossible and the rear looks like there may not be any red there to reveal. With that said, I still like it.

Yeah the power washer took that large section off the passenger side door according to the previous owner. That's what made me want to make the rest of the truck look more patina'd.

The pass side door was already like that. I think I may spray some white back on the door and sand through like the drivers door.

I like it. It would look even sweeter with steelies and caps like your avatar. Lowered or at it's current height.

Just attack the whole truck with a high power pressure washer and see what happens :)
Maybe your truck will turn a cool patina red. Kinda like in the canonball run movie with the Lambo in the car wash haha.
