Glad I found this thread! You are one hard working mother trucker dude. It's amazing how fast you went from driving a complete truck to scraping the pavement on a full PB setup....amazing:metal:

Sorry to hear about the engine. But the replacement sounds even better.

How are you planning to shave the firewall? Symettrical? Shave the rain gutter? Cap it 90 or at 45 degrees?

And keep us up to speed if something happens with the burb (to be tahoe)

Porterbuilt sheet metal and 90 degrees on the rain gutter. Let you mow on the burb

Thanks man. I can't seem to leave anything alone. If it's not scraping the ground with big wheels I don't want to drive it.

What wizard product do you use? Is it the "Power Seal" prudct? I went on their web site but was not sure what product you were intending on using.

How about for polishing dull billet? What would you recommend? I have some billet engine accessory brackets and pulleys that need a good polishing.

I polish dull billet with mothers power ball and mothers billet polish works well for me.

I have a couple of multi part questions,
1. Does your custom billet side markers utilize a factory reflector/light housing? is it made for L.E.D.? I'm interested in making some similar.

2. Where did you get your upper mouldings? How was the fitment/quality? Did you buy your lower mouldings from them too? Woodgrain or black?

I bought the moldings from chevyland in rancho cordova ca. Fit was perfect I also bought the lower moldings from the same place and they are black. The markers are made for LEDs and do not use stock lenses. The are two piece billet out side with the lens glued to the billet. Hope this helps

Thanks, I sure would like to see some pictures of both sides if you have those markers off again. Don't go to any trouble though. How much was your moulding package if you don't mind, did you use oem style hangers/clips? I have heard some stories about really crappy aftermarket trim. thanks

I will send you pica when I get back into town as the markers are off right now. The molding kit uses all stock clips and was 875 for the upper and lower with the tail gate. Hope this helps.

Another awesome build, and in my back yard......hope I see it around town.

...on another note, do you still have the front crossmember with suspension and if so, wanna get rid of it. I'm close and would be glad to come get it.......and also get a peek at your projects. Looking for 5 lug for my 68.....thx.
