Okay, I ordered the M7500 kit and a few extra ‘T’s and 2 extra manifolds.

Ryan, how about some pics of your filter & “cooler” setup. Sounds like a good way to keep the moisture under control.

I’m hoping to start the airline install tomorrow. I bought a few extra pieces and parts today so I can hopefully make a good start on getting this up & running. I’ve got (2) 50’ Goodyear hose reels, one on each end of the shop. So, I’ll have a drop for each of those, one for the Tire machine, one for the sandblasting cabinet and one on the 2-post lift. Each drop will have a ‘T’ so I can have an open plug in all the locations. I shouldn’t be hurting for air!

Well, I was suppose to have started last week, but that was an epic fail. Christmas, family, selling & buying a couple of vehicles took presidence.

I finally got around to working on the install today. I ended up adding a 3rd hose reel on the 2-post lift. I’ve got to run to Lowe’s tomorrow to buy a few more fittings and such to complete the install. I will say that I really like the RapidAir pieces and concept. Once I get everything buttoned up (hopefully tomorrow) I’ll pressurize the system and check for leaks and such. Crossing my fingers as a lot of the line runs 16’ above ground...

I’ll snap some pics tomorrow.

Lines are about finished. I did a 1/2” brass “T” at every drop so I could have an extra line to access. 3 of the four drops have a 3/8”x50’ reel and the 4th drop is for the Tire machine and the sandblasting cabinet (each end of that “T” has an extra connection too). I need one more piece of cast iron to finish the lead to the blasting cabinet...I added an additional water separator before the cabinet to try to keep moisture out.

Yes, I ran around the shop today airing up tires, sandblasting a few small bicycle parts and even put a new set of wheels on my wife’s daily driver. Airlines everywhere is a MUST from now on.

I did something similar on my setup. Not quite that fancy though.

On another note:

I’m super happy with how everything in the shop is now. Air, power, hvac, lights, lift etc...good! Just wish I’d had more room to build a bigger building. :storyofmylife:

Next is drainage, dirt work and driveway into the building.

Understand on the size. I’ve been looking at adding 15-20’ to mine but not sure where my septic starts. Adding 10’ on the front and 10’ on the back doesn’t sound cost effective.

Mine is limited by topography. As you can see from the first few pages, mine is built into a hill. I woulda needed a LOT of fill material to get more footage.

I had a small failure on one of my RapidAir “T” fittings night before last. Turned out I boogered up an o-ring, so my fault. Suck part was that it was the only fitting that’s 16’ in the air which means some sketchy repair conditions, but it’s done & holding pressure.

Found a Craigslist deal, so I added a new piece of equipment to the shop... American Auto Lift 12k 4-post alignment rack with jacks. It took all damn day to install, but it’s in!

Yikes....those folding ladders give me the willies....you keep on and you won't have any room left in your new shop....

I actually got this one primarily for vertical storage, but the jacks do hold the potential for being handy!

My rational was this was for vertical vehicle storage...so I made the shop bigger :lol:

If it is a little giant ladder it is stronger than most any other ladder you will find. I have about 10 of them different sizes and got rid of all of my fiberglass ones.
The ones like on the home shooing network.... yea they are pretty much junk but this style is great

It is a Little Giant & it’s great, but that little adventure was a bit out of my comfort zone. It was only resting on one of the 6” ‘Z’ beams and was what seemed to be whobbly. ;). I got the job done though.

They are strong ladders. I have 6 of the M26 which are 6-11' step ladders and will go out to 26' straight ladder. I have had them out 26' on the side of tall gas canopies while lugging up a 125# cold air balloon to install on top of the canopy. Seems I have worn out before the ladder has lol. I also have a couple of the sky scraper step ladders as shown here. The tall one goes to a 22' step ladder and the one in front of it goes to 15' step. Eat a good breakfast before setting up the 22' by yourself. They are both fully retracted in the pics.

I had a chance today to move things around and I officially love the new found space. I put OG Walter up top because I don’t need him again until I’m ready for the bed, so it’s great. I’m 6’1” and I can walk under it without squatting...without a ball cap on :lol: so I can work on Martha as needed. I have to put brakes on the wife’s ride and help a friend of mine’s son put a lift kit on his truck tomorrow...then I’ll be back on Walter.

I received the new stands from Porterbuilt this evening. I got them in place and they seem to solve the exhaust issue. I still need to lower the body down on the body to check the clearances, but I’ll have to cut the floor pan for the high hump first. The long tubes bolt up, but the passenger side isn’t going to clear the lower control arm. I’ll do one of 2 things...either modify the first 2 tubes or going to a mid length headers.
