Started the blending. Will need to spend some more time on getting it nice and smooth.

Nice, what are you using to take your welds down? I find sandpaper flap disc's such as these work the best.

I have used them, they are awesome. I found that I was able to get to aggressive with them and would end up taking to much off. So I have been using a regular grinding disk, a file and in this case was trying out some sand paper. Makes me be a bit more cautious I guess

Down island for the weekend, tackling the bumpers. The front is mounted now. The back is all ready to go, just letting the paint dry. Pictures to come

Thank you, I like you rocker progress as well!

More on the panel. Rear bumper is all bolted up. Decided to start drilling out all the body mount carriage bolt and well... Ended up drilling out all the bolts for the strapping as well. The strapping was crusty, soo, I got them all fire wheeled and painted with enamel. Will be looking into getting some new plywood to lay down, might be tough to find some in 10 1/2' lengths hahaha

Thanks! Cool work on your fenders!

I had some shop time this weekend and a bit of progress.

First I started putting together my front signal lights. I mounted some amber LED panels in the signal housings. Also got a set of new signal lenses. Nice and crisp!

Also got a few more hours into smoothing and blending the seam from my passengers side front fender. It's coming along but I still want to do a bit more before I fasten in the support. It sure is tricky to get that seam nice on a big piece of sheet like that. Good practice a guess for when I tackle to rear quarter panels

Always hoping to see more though hahaha.

Down island until the 4th. Looking to get some more done on the floor pan, rockers and floor support. Started on the floor here is where I'm at. All the bulbs in the shop were out when I got down, will have to pick up some tubes tomorrow.

Anthony...Great progress on the truck, did you determine if it is a 62, wider frame in the back? I found that a 93 caprice wagon poly fuel tank fits close to the frame rails of my 62, made some new cross braces and hung with 93 OEM straps. May not be what you need for diesel...Ed

Thanks Ed! It is a 63 with 34" wide frame rails. The rear bumper and sil plate are from a 62, had to make some adjustments to make them fit.... They are on there now hahaha. I am hoping to fit the polymer fuel tank out of the dodge in between the frame rails in front of the rear diff and behind the transfer case. Will have to see how it works out. I will keep the caprice tank idea in reserve, thank you!

Passengers side floor, rocker and floor support are checked off the list :metal:

Moving on to the drivers side. It is in much better shape, have to repair the hinge adjuster plate and the bracket that holds it in place. Soo many rats nests in the A pillar and rocker!!!

It's surprising how much driver and passenger sides can differ, mine was like that as well. The passenger was twice as worse as the drivers. When you are done all the rust repair you'll be glad you got it over with. Keep up the good work

Thanks for the encouragement! To bad about the suburban being scraped, probably would have liked to cut some body parts off for the panel .

More progress on the drivers side rocker. This side had more material to work with and is turning out better then the passengers side.

Nice work on the inner rocker:metal:. Well the burb might actually still be alive. He dropped it off at a yard (don't know what yard) and it might not be crushed for a while. I messaged him to ask if it's still around, if it is I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks that would be awesome! If it's in the Comox Valley I can stop there on my way back to McNeill.
